CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 49 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Design - Not Heavy duty This might be a product for light duty stuff such as raking leaves, small stones, etc. If you want to dethatch or move a lot of debris, you might want a more heavy duty one. I dethatched (with quite some pressure I should say) for an entire day and at the end of the day, the rake came off the handle. The rake is just glued in to the handle and I was aware of this poor design before I purchased the rake. All the rakes at the store already had split handles at the top and I picked one that was not split. Still did not help. Anyway, if you really need a rake, get this and use it for the intended purpose (and more maybe) immediately. If it breaks, Home Depot will take it back no problem. March 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by After moving 7 tons of rock I had an Ame's wooden handled bow rake that had spent 30 + years in the weather and was held together with duct tape. I decided it was time to replace it. I thought this would be the ideal rake. Until I read the reviews. The were scary. I went to Home Depot with the intent to buy a different rake. I found one of these first. One of the complaints in the reviews was the head would come off. I sat down on the floor, put both feet in the bow and pulled as hard as I could, it did not move. I pulled and pushed with the rake at every possible angle, trying to make it break. It would not break. I liked everything about it, the angles I could work with were appreciably better than any rake I have ever used. I bought it for my project. I was re-landscaping my front yard. The finishing step was to install 7 yards of rock. 7 yards of rock calculates out to over 7 tons of rock. This rake moved every bit of that rock, some of it 2-3 times. Except for a small amount of missing paint on the ends of tines, it looks brand new. The rubber on the end was great for pushing the rock, I could get a lot of force behind it and move a substantial quantity with every push. I don't think I got lucky, I think the few that had problems with these rakes got unlucky. I have owned Ame's garden tools for years. If I treated them better, they would probably last longer. Bottom line, if you want a good rake, get one of these. December 26, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good rake Needed a new rake. This one works well and I won't get splinters from the handle. April 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good gravel and seeding rake we needed to spread loam and grass seed, and then a fine gravel base next to our new garage. The rake is strong and proved perfect for the task. April 7, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bent in a couple of days The rake worked ok for grading a section of my yard, but was noticeably bent when I finished. May 14, 2015
