CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 68 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Broke after a year I bought this a year ago but didn't use it very much until this year. I started taking out some bushes along my driveway and always thought the handle was going to break. It never did, but the shovel head bent sideways about 30 degrees. Ames is working with me to send a replacement. I think its good for some jobs, but not heavy duty. April 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very durable shovel Very heavy duty shovel. I have used it so much since I got it. I had a lot of planting to do and had to dig up some plants and re-landscape the side of the house. It has been a work horse for me. May 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Really like it so far Better than my wooden one that broke. This one is a bit more money but happ. May 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Dirt Mover I bought this shovel to unload a few yards of dirt to spread out in my yard...it worked great! Some shovels are flimsy or break when too much pressure is used. Not this one! May 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by waste of money Bent the first day it was used. Cheap, but get a better shovel. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Strong & Sturdy Bought this to finnish my yard after breaking 2 other shovels. So far it has held up to the shovel should be broken, but it has held up. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best shovel I've bought or found. Used this lightweight shovel to dig 18 holes for transplanting black raspberry bushes. It cut through quarter inch roots with an ordinary amount of step force and made easy the evacuation of the soil. Handle integrity was not threatened by heavier roots. Blade portion still looks like new. It is the right tool for the job. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I dig it. I needed a couple of stainless steel shovels for some environmental soil sampling projects, and these did just the trick. Fiberglass handle was perfect because it's less likely to absorb water or contaminants than a wooden handle. Only complaint was the sticker on the shovel blade; I had to remove it for science-y reasons and it was a pain to peel off because it kept tearing. Nonetheless, it was a good buy and a good value. 10/10 would buy again. March 29, 2016
