Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A fine shovel My shovel is great for common yard work and small projects. I was attracted to the fiberglass handle, as I am quite hard on tools. I do not doubt it's ability to last many years. So far I have used it to plant a tree, a small garden and two flower beds. My yard is full of rocks and roots and it has stood up to my prying and "hacking". It has not bent or broken and shows absolutely no sign of doing so. I recommend this shovel to everyone. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid Its nice and light weight, i think the steel head is the perfect weight/strength. however the fiberglass handle is worthless, if you put any leverage on it at all it will snap. this thin fiberlgass handle is WEAKER than wood. What good does a steel blade that can be sharpened do if the handle will just fall apart. If you weigh under 90 lbs, and are working in FRESHLY TILLED SOIL, NOT MUD, you can get away with this shovel. May 25, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great spade, handle is garbage. Lightweight, for sure. The spade works very well. Gets through heavy soil, rocks, even concrete. That said, the handle broke the second time I used it, as soon as any leverage was needed. November 27, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good shovel for the price This shovel doesn't appear very sturdy, but I've had no problems with it, and I've been working in some pretty tough clay soil. For the money, it seems like a good value in any case. June 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No Regrets Glad I purchased this item. Lots of use around the house, camping. And it's small enough to put in the trunk. June 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A shiny new shovel So, I was digging out a sapling and my Dad was helping. Suddenly, snap! My shovel broke. Well, what to do other than head to my trusty hardware store, Home Depot for a quality replacement. The shovel seems to work well and gets along well with my other farm tools. So, I'll rate it as a good shovel. I like the fiberglass handle too. January 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Perfect Choice for me This shovel replaced my 20 year-old one with a wooden handle. The old wood handle snapped off which I do not think will happen with the new fiberglass (?) handle. Unfortunately the new shovel was priced so low that I could not justify replacing the handle.
