Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great but pricey anywhere you go!! Great for the professional, serious weekender or serious hobbyist. The 1/2 inch diameter size will get twice more air to your air tools than any standard 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch. It is important to put good quality ends and adapters on the end of any air hose you use. There are many cheap ends out there that will leak air, run your compressor to death, make noise, and annoy you. A good auto parts house or hardware store can help you. WalMart can't. Also use teflon tape or other good quality thread sealant on the threads. Remember the standard 3/8 inch male and female couplings that you can find anywhere WILL NOT fit on the larger ends of this hose. Take the hose with you to the store to be sure. This hose is great for air tools that require a lot of CFMs like the heavier air guns, sand blasters, chisels and such. A tool starved for air is no different than an electric tool hooked to a small extension cord and starved for electricity. I also use a three-way splitter on the end of one of my 1/2 inch hoses so I can hook two or three 3/8 inch hoses if I have more than one person running nail guns, sanders, or even different combinations of air tools. The 50 foot hose gets air inside the house, up on the roof, or around the outside of a house if necessary while my compressor sits off a ways to limit the noise. This cuts down on having to run smaller hoses greater distances. Yes, it cost a lot but good tools do cost money. If you work with your tools like I do, and take of them, they will make you your money back many times over. One very important thing to remember is NEVER use a welder or cutting torch in the vicinity of an air hose. The hot metal will burn through the hose in seconds and ruin the best of any hose. Do you want to know how I know this?? I guarantee your first guess is correct. September 14, 2011
