Answer:
Thank you for your query. Please go to http://stormdoors.com/install/#swap for a video on how to replace the screen and window. You may choose the video for Andersen 3000 Fullview since they have the same procedure on how to swap the screen/window. You may also access manual on that link under Installation Tab. - Joyce

I currently have a top of the line anderson storm door( 4000 I think) and I have to get rid of it since the glass portion is over 50 pounds. I cannot handle it when changing from storm door to screen door

So the question is how much does the glass portion alone weigh???

I hate to make this change but I have to. I have a pella in another lace and it is easy to handle. single glass I guess.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 57 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst storm door ever Screen / glass panel inserts are made out of plastic. Once popped out, it is a difficult task to switch out the glass / screen and reuse the plastic retainer. Feature - retainers needs to be heated up so the plastic will be soft enough to snap into the panel. Performance - terrible. The door is no longer of any use and will need to be replaced. Design – Poor – removing the retainer cracked the plastic. The door is less than 1 year old and after leaving the retainers out in the sun, I was able to pop in the glass panel in the fall. When I attempted to switch out to the screen door this fall, the retainers cracked and broke. September 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful door! This is a beautiful door and my brother-in-law installed it without any problems! I have had so many compliments on the new door. April 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by full view storm door I had the door installed by someone, I really don't know if it was easy to install or not. the door looks really nice, but have not really used it since it is cold out and it is a back door that is not used often. I have not tried to install the screen yet. December 8, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Closer too short The door looks good and wasn't too difficult to install. Took about 2 hours. However the closer is to short and will allow the door to only open about 3/4 of the way. This is unacceptable. Called the store and was advised to put a piece of wood behind the hinge. I'm not doing this and will buy a new longer closer. Should not have to do this December 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks nice, but doesn't completely seal This is the second door of this version I have bought in the last several years. Yes, some of the hardware corrodes if you have bad winters like we do in Cleveland, but it took enough time that I wasn't too concerned. Especially because the door has maintained great shape. However, it's not the best sealing door either time I put it in. I thought it might be the frame the first time, but it happened again a few weeks ago. The sweep fin isn't long enough to cover any gaps at the bottom no matter how I finagle it. I made the screw holes as high as possible on the sweep and low as possible on the door, but it still isn't enough coverage. I either have to put more carpet in between, or figure something else out because I've searched for longer ones with no luck and Anderson basically says 'tough luck'. Good door, just keep some of that in mind if you have weather extremes. October 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great door, easy to install We had previously bought three of these doors for two different homes and had someone else install them. They looked and worked great! Bought this one for a back door and installed it myself. Directions were easy to follow. It took a little longer than it said it should (the instructions say two hours), but I am a bit OCD and had to triple check things! Came out great! September 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gorgeous This storm door is absolutely gorgeous! It is high quality and looks great on my back door. I definitely recommend it to anyone considering purchasing the door. October 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very disappointed in Andersen Poorly insulated, ice forms during the winter. Too hot to touch in the summer. Temperamental, slams shut at times. One good thing is hands free bottom closer. Will never buy Andersen products again September 27, 2015
