first of all I think the 2 hr door install can be done, if you are a carpenter or hang doors once a week or so.
Allow 4 hrs for this door install, not counting time to go get one and pick it out and bring it home.
Tools I used not listed as needed:
one inch hole saw. [must have]
1/8 “ inch drill bit.
Table saw to make custom shim strips.
Throw the directions away. [this will save you an hr or so]
Attach the hinge to door, hang door, then hang the strike plate side, then the top, then the weather strip.
Why does it take 4 pages in the book to tell you this?

The storm door I purchased is beautiful and a perfect match to my house. I had a friend install it for me and the size was a bit off and he had to add a bit of side filling, but it turned out very well. I'm happy with it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fnoxib Solid door, fairly easy to install
This is a good-looking, nicely-operating door. Definitely worth the extra money to get the Andersen-branded versus the discounted branded doors that are similar (and from the same parent company).
What do you get for the extra money? Nicer hardware, a real keyed lock (versus a "desk drawer" lock), a nicer gas spring damper (with a one-touch push button hold-open).
My only complaint is that I needed a large paddle bit to drill some of the holes. I wound up buying a step drill instead, which worked better than the paddle bit. They give you a drill bit for the screw hole pilots, but not for all the holes you'll need to drill.
Other than that, the installation was straight-forward, the documentation was VERY good, and everything went together nice and easy. The door looks great and works well. I really like the stow-away screen.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mick Anderson storm door not so hot...
Picked up this Andersen storm door in 30 inch by 80 inch and installed it. Looked good at first until I noticed that the top hinge was slightly creating more of a gap on top than on the bottom. After a few days, I was standing in the doorway watching the rain come down as it blew slightly against the door. I then noticed that on the bottom two corners where the glass meets the frame, there is a gap. The water would collect along the bottom reveal, head to the two corners, and trickle to the inside of the door, and run down the inside of the bottom frame, then to the inside door sill. Maybe a tight/ solid joint or some caulk in those corners, Andersen???
Would never buy Andersen product again, plus would tell everyone I know, to STEER CLEAR! Very frustrating!

A very good looking door. I rated Ease of Installation, however, I did not install myself. My contractor did not seem to have any trouble. I have a cat and he enjoys the full glass door and I appreciate the pull-down screen. The locking system is a great feature. Not a cheap door but seems worth the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mo Love my 2 new Anderson doors
I love being able to pull the screen down so just the right amount of fresh air comes in. Screen at top of door is a plus so the dog can't reach it. They close firmly and seem solid. We were going to buy one at a time, but the gentleman at Home Depot in Los Lunas was so helpful, we went ahead and got both. Installation was prompt and the installers were courteous, efficient and even cleaned up. They installed 2 doors in 1 hour 5 minutes. I would highly recommend these doors and to have them installed by the installers Home Depot recommended.
