Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Val Door quit less than 1.5 years of use. Andersen cust service in India; not helpful.
Mighty expensive for less than 1.5 years of use. Loved the door until it broke. The cheap, flimsy spring that controls the door and allows it to close and open properly suddenly fell off! Then the wind grabbed the door and the entire glass panel on the bottom half broke into thousands of pieces.
Called Andersen customer service and their call center is in...India! So they can barely understand us and vice versa. Of course, customer service was of NO help.
Was a fan of this door, but not with a catastrophic failure....if something as simple as a spring gives out, what does that say about the rest of the door?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Satisfied Product is as advertised
I am not completely satisfied with how the handle assembly is operating. I am going to take it back apart and reassemble. I may not have assembled the handles onto the plates correctly. Other than that everything else is great.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HG Just what I needed
It was not a 45 minute job, as my frame needed some tweaking with a plane. But the end result I am satisfied with and now can let fresh air in through the front door.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TJohnK Easiest install I've ever done
This door is very functional. Very easy change to screen from storm and vice versa via self storing feature. Only drawback is not full view screen which also is an appearance issue. However same feature is also a benefit if pets tend to scratch at the door or little children poke through lower screens.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pdiddy Easy to install
This door was very easy to install with all the different instructions and visual diagrams. The door was a perfect fitment. This job is easy with two people, one person holding the frame in place while the other drills the door in place. The door, sliding screen, and pump hold feature are all intuitive to use. The entire job took approximately 2 hours, less if it was not hot outside causing me to take breaks.

I took my time and followed each step as per instruction. Door worked as design! One problem I can't get the lever above the handle to stop the handles from going backwards...??

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Greg Easy to install!
I wanted to buy a quality storm door that was easy to install. It claims to take 45 minutes to install and it took me about an hour because I let my 10 year old son help. The fit out of the box was perfect and it operates like you would expect from an Anderson Door. The instructions were easy to understand. The best thing about this is the lock allows you to have it keyed to your home locks so you don't need additional keys. Well done Anderson.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Amy We've had so much trouble with this door
We have an Andersen self-storing door, which was already on our house (built 13 years ago), when we moved in. The concept is great.; it is easy to switch between screen and full glass, but the quality has been unimpressive. We had to replace the closer a couple of years ago because it frequently jammed. The replacement didn't do any better, it also jammed any time we used the lock on the closer. Finally, when this happened once when my father-in-law, an engineer, was visiting and he tried to fix it, he ended up bending the metal while trying to make it work so the door needs to be replaced. In the meanwhile, the door won't stay closed without the closer, the latch isn't very effective, so, unless it is locked, the wind will catch it and it flies open and has destroyed the house light next to the door.
Not only have we had problems with the closer and the weak latch, but the seals between the top and bottom glass panels have warped so that there is a gap. (I added a picture so you can see where it warped.) Cold air comes in there as well as along the edges of the top glass panel. I wasn't able to find any information about warrant y on the Andersen website. I don't know if any would still be in effect after 10 years, but it seems that a quality storm door should last longer than 10-12 years.
