Are these wood core or particle board on the inside of aluminum. Because those kinds will warp over time if exposed to the elements. Looking for aluminum with foam insulation.

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. The Andersen 3000 Series Self-Storing Easy Install Storm Door is made of 1.5” thick gauge hollow aluminum. There is nothing inside of aluminum panel. We do not manufacture storm doors with foam insulation. Please visit www.stormdoors.com to check for the different models of storm doors that we manufacture. - Noel

Is the insect screen an add-on option? Define self-storing, please. If this is a one-piece glass storm door, then how do you incorporate an insect screen?
Please advise, as I have not seen this door in the store.

Answer:
Thank you for posting a question. Insect screen is a part included in the storm door. The screen is clipped at the tip of the ventilating window that enables you to use the insect screen when you need ventilation. The screen also slides up when not in use. -Ben

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Too Short Very disappointed in this door. We bought a 32 x 80 and the door is only 79 inches. Even with the additional pieces to help expand top and bottom the door is still an inch too short!! Now we need to buy an additional expanding piece to help fill this gap. Next time I'll bring a tape measure to the store and measure the product before I get home!! September 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great storm door storm door great. problem was with home depot installer, did not show up as schedule.even after calling that morning to confirm.caused me to take off work unnecessarily. May 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2 hour install - Long time appeal! Anderson has a youtube channel to make the measurements easier and a 2-part install video set that made the installation process super easy. The white pieces that snap into place over the screws to make the door look better are hard to get into place. We used a painter's 5 in 1 tool to snap them in. That was the final step and only tricky one in the install. Definitely recommend! January 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well worth the money and time The door gave a new, clean look to our back porch and door. Installation came complete with built on shims etc. which made installation much easier than previous installs. Just be sure your cut-out is within the allowed measurements before setting the door up. Realistically, installation took ~ 2hours, including hardware, caulking and adjusting. Not bad in my book. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No 45 minute install Bought this because of advertised 45 minute install. It went as follows: One Anderson storm door for back door purchased. Two college graduate adults, who have installed other brand storm doors, and read the brochure and watched the video. Three days so far and the installation is still not complete. Four extra screws we didn't use with the project completed....wonder where they go? July 18, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solid storm door with easy installation I did a lot of research on storm doors - Andersen are considered by many to be solid value for money. The easy-install system is EXACTLY THAT. The key is to take measurements of your door frame, existing door sill and brick moulding. The hardest part I faced installing this door was the fact that my sill and molding were too short to create a proper seal. So I needed to extend my door sill (look for extenders and don't forget to brace the extender) and the molding can quickly be extended using screen molding however consider replacing your existing brick molding if its wood and over 5 years old. Back to the door itself. Good: Solid construction Very easy to install Looks great adds great curb appeal The hidden screen is awesome at letting fresh air into the house without all the flies. And tucks away to give you a clear view when not in use. Bad: Packaging allowed for some scuffs of the door paint. Instructions not 100% accurate but easy enough to follow. Doesn't really open to 90 degrees with the closer on it - only about 80 degrees . June 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great storm/screen door! Very happy with this product. High Quality, pretty easy to install. We liked it so much, that we bought a second one, for another exterior door in our house. November 5, 2013
