Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Richard Great purchase!
Don't know why we waited so long to replace our old one.
Just didn't want to spend the money. But, glad we choose
this one. Anderson makes quality products. It is a fantastic
storm door. Well made, opens and closes easily, and looks

We are really pleased with our storm door and would recommend it with all our friends. With the help of my father-in-law, it was a long but fairly easy install. I wouldn't recommend doing it if you are not "handy".

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Greg Better Than Average
This is one of the best options sold by Home Depot, but the door does have quality issues.
Anderson customer support indicates that if the height of the door frame is less than the door rough opening, there is a wider filler strip that can be attached to the exterior top of the door to fill in that gap. However, there is no such filler strip to fill in the inside face of the gap. So the outside looks great. The inside looks crude unless the buyer figures out a way to fill in the very visible gap. Suggestion: Anderson should provide a trim piece for the inside face as well. I ended up buying a strip of plastic, cutting it to size, painting it dark brown to match the door, and then gluing it in place. (See photo.)
One of the mitered corners of the door itself wasn't properly cut, so there's a 1/16" visible gap. That isn't the quality of construction I would have expected, and I worry about leaks. (See photo.)
Lastly, I've had the door installed for just about 3 weeks and the closer has failed. The door slams shut regardless of how the closer is adjusted. Anderson is sending out a free replacement part under warranty, but this makes me wonder about the overall quality of the product.
In short, the door looks good but the quality of construction needs improvement.

My neighbor had this door an it felt so substantial in my hand, the screen stayed inside the track so no more going to the garage ro change it out/summer to winter. The insulation company, Gordon Enterprises, Danny (owner) was polite an professional. The installer who works our area for Gordon Enterprises was a quality installer. Looks like it has always been thereI Also paid the up charge for new

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DoorSlayer This is the perfect door, if your have the perfect house
This is a great door IF your house is perfectly level and your door is no bigger than the average door. This "45 minute" install took me a day and a half to properly put onto our front door. Our house has some foundation issues which apparently have allowed our front door to not be perfectly level. This caused me to install and re install the door multiple times in order for it to close properly. Luckily my neighbor wasn't doing anything for the whole afternoon and helped me to begin the quest to put this door in. It took us a crowbar, level, and lots of head scratching on how to get the door to work properly in my doorway. After the 10 hours of labor the door is installed, and does look really good. I would suggest buying the door, but if your house is not a perfect fit, I would pay for installation, and sit back and watch the show.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Joe Nice door, but
The door looks good and seems to be of decent quality, but the closer is very poor. The door either slams too hard or won't close properly. Temperature affects how the closer works and it has to be adjusted constantly.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Han Very easy to install for non handy people
I bought this today in the Home Depot store. White, with nickel handles. My girlfriend and I installed it. Neither of us are very handy. Probably took us about 1.5-2 hrs, but the steps were easily followed. The only reason why it took so long was because neither of us are handy. I would definitely purchase this storm/screen door again.
