installation wasn't 45 minutes but I'm no professional installer either. BUT, the install went pretty easy. I already love this door. It's unbelievably sturdy, and on the second day it was in we had 50+ mph gusts and I didn't even here it rattle. for the price you can't beat it. do yourself a favor and go buy this door. you won't be disappointed.

The only down fall is going from glass to screen. The channel thingies are tough to get in and out.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jim Packing and shipping are the problems.
Door #5 has been installed, and it looks great! Door #4, door #3, and door #2 arrived damaged in the box or during shipment. My sense is that Anderson does not adequately pack its' doors for shipment.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FixerUpper NICE DOOR- Easy Installation
I purchased this door to match the trim around our existing door. My husband does this type of work regularly and he said THIS IS A NICE DOOR. And the easiest installation of a storm door he has done! We are very pleased.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MH Be careful with your order
While the door looks good and is of high quality and easy to install, be careful when doing a custom order.
I didn't catch that the standard clear glass and not the Low-E glass (as I had requested) was ordered. But is not very obvious on the print out they give you if they have made errors entering the data (and they are not very knowledgeable about the specifications to go over it with you to verify it is what you want before you walk out the door). So now, we are stuck with no Low-E glass...
After talking to Andersen, you can't get the low-E glass in custom 84" height... HD didn't tell us that and we thought we were buying a door with low-E glass.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by TommyBoy Almost excellent., but...
This door was a pleasure to install until one of the final steps. There are plastic strips which are supposed to snap into metal channels in order to cover a series of mounting strips. I found these EXTREMELY difficult. They should be supple enough to flex slightly to "pop" into the channels. Unfortunately, mine were so stiff that I could not flex them at all, and I am a fairly strong person. I finally installed them by pressing one side with a large flat bladed screwdriver, which then left some pale marks on the dark material where it was forced into the channel. Too bad. If not for this, I would have given the product the highest of ratings in all categories.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jmeinholdt Very nice, sturdy storm door
As previous reviews have stated, the screw covers aren't installed nearly as easily as the instructions make them sound. Everything else though is a snap due to the easy install system. Never will I install another storm door without it. The special order terratone color matches our Andersen windows nicely and we were even able to get a Behr exterior paint to match it for the entry door trim. The handle set (which was included in the box) is a good solid piece that feels very sturdy. Overall, installation took about 1 hour with about 20 minutes of it struggling with the screw covers. Only cons are that it's a little stiff to open due to the dual shock assemblies. It does close very nicely once adjusted though.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dick storm door replacement
The door was exactly what we wanted. It is sturdy and works like a charm. Installation was difficult because the house is old and has settled -- nothing is quite square or plumb. The installer, a separate contractor managed to get it mounted and working.
