This storm door is a perfect compliment to the new fiberglass wood grain door we recently installed.

We purchased two of these Anderson doors (3000 series) and had them installed by the HD. We could not be happier, they meet all our expectations and more, good seal, shuts properly and very neat and complimentary to our brick.
I would highly recommend the HD install them, our man was in and out in 2.5 hrs. and very courteous and knowledgeable. (two doors) If anyone has any questions about the doors call your local HD, they will answer them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BrianM Excellent door, well built. EASY install
I bought the 3000 series with the drop down screen/window. Very simple installation. I put this on in northeast winter, with many days below zero and strong winds. What a difference. Plus my small dogs can look through the bottom glass on nicer days, and no worries about them getting to the screen since it is top only. Plus you can drop down as much or as little screen as you want. Heavy duty door and heavy brass hardware. Just like my other anderson doors and windows. Top notch and no question warranty. I will be putting another one on my side entrance.

This door took about 3 hours to install. The instructions had some pictures, but none that depicted the door from a front view. I was disappointed that Andersen included silver screws for around the outside of the door when the door we ordered is black. Luckily I had some black paint to cover them. I suggest buying a can of $.99 spray paint and spraying all the #8 x 1" screws black before the install.
I do suggest that Andersen reviews the instructions and shorten them up some with real pictures of what the door should look like when hung (up close too, so we can see the z bars attached to the brick mold). We were confused if our hinge was somehow on wrong. I actually had to take a walk around the neighborhood to see if other doors were attached in the same way as ours.

This is a well made sturdy storm door. Great fit and feel of materials. Install is a breeze if you have any mechanical ability, by far the least complicated door I have ever installed. Be sure to use a bead of silicone around the flange and you will be air tight.

There is no doubt this is a good door that will last a long time. One problem is that the retractable screen sticks a bit at the top and one has to fiddle with it to get it totally retracted. I would say for me two hours is more realistic for installation as you have to read it completely a few times. Also the instructions for the lock installation don't explain the parts of the assembly well and I have no idea what the spring loaded part on the top of assembly above the handle even does if anything. Maybe it's purpose is to look pretty. Also when I called for additional help, I thought the woman's accent on the other end of the line impeded our progress considerably. I had to ask her to keep repeating. At full adjustment the door does not open completely unless you release the mechanism which is very easy to do.
