I bought one for the front door about 2 years ago. I have an old house so I had to add a 2x4 at the top to drop the entry way to 80 inches. It worked well so I bought a second one this fall for the second floor porch. The second one fitted without modifying the entry way. Takes about an hour to install.

The installation took longer than 45 minutes - around 3 hours for me. But I took my time, read the instructions carefully and took a couple of breaks. The door fit perfectly.
Others have noted dissatisfaction with changing the glass to screen - and I can see that it would be a bit of a pain to do that. I plan to leave the glass in year-round.
I'm very pleased with the end result! The door looks great, is reasonably sturdy and the instructions were excellent.

Where to start? We bought this door intending to install it ourselves since it is so "easy". Perhaps it would have been, if the parts had coordinated with the instructions and the holes were large enough for the pins and screws.
I can install and put together most RTA items, even gas grills with hundreds of parts. About the instructions: it tells you to remove the screen but doesn't mention the heavy glass pane. I removed it anyway because 1: heavy and 2: fragile. Good thing too, since after I screwed the door into place and was supposed to "open the door by grasping the edge" there would have been no way to grab it, and it was firmly and completely stuck. I tried a hammer and 2x4: no luck. We finally did get it open with a lot of horsing on it and broke off the corners of the clip inside the door edge only to find that the plastic handle clip had been riveted into place with plastic rivets (not on instructions OR illustrations) and there was no way anyone could have simply opened the door with that clip wedging it shut. If I had left the glass in, it would surely have broken.
The #12 screws that are supposed to hold the door closer clip to the door: there is no way ever that they will screw into the small holes drilled into the door. Likewise the short pins to hold the door closer to the door bracket: way too large for the holes in the bracket OR the door closer. The long pins for the door side went in easily, no problem at all.
It is now sunset and I am stopping for the day. Who knows what fresh challenges await tomorrow? I suspect that the screw covers will be impossible to install; I skipped that part because they didn't seem to fit and I was tired of fiddling with the thing.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mamallama Beautiful door, NOT easy to install
This is a beautiful door which has already demonstrated its usefulness by reducing drafts and adding to curb appeal. We are very pleased with the overall look and ease of use. We love it!
My one complaint is that it is by no means "easy" to install. The product literature says that it can be installed in 45 minutes or less. Nonsense. It took two professionals two hours to install it. If my husband and/or I (amateurs) had attempted installation, I have no doubt it would have taken at least 5-6 hours to install (which is consistent with what I had read elsewhere online). It may be easy to install compared to other doors, but the title is deceptive given the product's own claims.

It was my mistake but the default order is left hand and the picture shows right hand. I ordered the wrong door.
