Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Laurik Looks nice but probably won't last long
The door slams closed, even after adjustment. You have to open the door a full 90 degrees to get the spring to slow down the door and not slam when it's closing. Having a house full of boys I don't expect it to last long and stand up to the constant abuse of slamming shut since no one opens the door fully when they go through it and that's the only way to engage the spring to slow it down when it closes.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lanie Love this door!!
I've had this door about 5 months and I'm very happy with it! I am a small female and I did the installation by myself. It took me about 7 hours to complete. It looks great and functions smoothly. I had NO interest in the doors with the rolling screen that you find on almost every door out there now, so this was just perfect for me. I love the full view. The full screen does not impair the view at all. I love that both windows move for venting and they move very smoothly too. It has a study frame, a nice tight closure, nice hardware and a decently study lock. I'm very please.

I really wanted to love this door but there are some flaws. First I was under the assumption that the screens were rolled away but, they are not. So when looking from the outside of the house, the door always looks dirty/gray since the screens are always visible. Also, when the glass doors are shut, they do not make a complete seal over the screen and instead there is a gap. This is an issue when I want to leave the glass door Open for a late but not let any air, whether it be too cold or too hot, into the house. Also, installation was tricky and lengthy. My husband has put in dozens of these doors and it usually takes him about two hours. This store took about five hours because of some issues with installation. Going back, I would not purchase the store and instead would purchase one with a rollaway screen. I would have brought this back to return except we no longer have any of the packaging.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Doitsefler Great door if U want a door with SCREEN to enjoy with less hassle in future.
I Picked this sliding window door .
3000 SERIES WHITE SELF STORING TRUSCENE STORM DOOR.
Over more expensive $$, due to:: ONLY need to slide open to let fresh air thru the screen...
Yes, these doors are a pain to install..
Thus most, So Called professionals
will try to steer - steer-&-steer you away from , This door.
Due to the amount of length of time of installation..
Mfg estimated install time of 2-4 hours..
This is if you have the extra materials needed
IF not storm door ready. Also if the supporting wood(material) is
NOT rooted or weak. Which i encountered on all three doors..
Oh also one was not square too..
So if you are the Do-It-Yourself-er plan on 5-8 hours if the hardware store is close...
If hiring a So called professional : plan on extra costs$$ to correct problems.
If as stated above material &/or wood issues will pop-up ((most likely)....
Quality : We have only had the doors for 2-3 months.
The door closer, DO NOT seem to work as well as described..
Thus need to pull closed after almost-almost latching...
???not sure if engineering design or if it is my lack of expertise???
So In short, now that i have installed 3 of these..
I know i will be happy with them for a long time.
Oh i just ordered my 4th to install on *our personal home too... May order a 5th..
I know now that after you have read this:: You Know what to expect..
Yes, If * i *had to do again. I would and will.
Because i Like-Like- Like the open the window to let fresh air in anytime -
any season - for any reason...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by gjp1123 Quality storm door and fairly easy to install.
Just purchased and installed the 3000 series this weekend. It looks great and is a perfect fit for our new home. The door itself is heavy and feels very well made from a quality standpoint. I installed it myself and I'd consider myself average at best when it comes to the "handy" category. The instructions were fairly straight forward and while it took me a little longer than the advertised 45 mins It really wasn't that bad. I would highly recommend this storm door from both a quality and ease of installation standpoint.

The door itself was a nice door, and I loved how the screen part pulled down, it was so easy. But since there isn't chain at the top to hold the door if the wind comes, your door get broken down at the closure. We had the door 3 weeks and had a big wind, held on to the door when we opened it but wind was too strong, closer ripped out of wall. Got a new one from Andersen, 1 week later, big wind and same thing. Andersen needs to put a chain at the top to hold the door against the wind, no matter how hard you hold on to the door. We were told if we put one on, then it would void the warranty. So now we have to buy a new storm door, and we have to have a new frame put in. DO NOT BUY THIS

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ConradL Quality Door- screen works great for quick ventilation.
Much easier than an Anderson storm door to install (we did one of those a few weeks ago). Directions on this were clear, and easier to follow.
Just a couple of things could have been better or more clear.
This door is HEAVY, so make sure you have two people for ease of installation.
Many times there was no notation for what size drill bit to use for the installation screws. This could have been clearer in the directions.
The separate door latch directions were good too. At first we were unsure about the plastic pilot hole guide for the handle/lock, as to whether to hold it tight against the door setback or just having it snap in place. We held it tight against and it worked fine. There may be enough wiggle room in the actual spade bit and large holes it would not have mattered.
