Product Overview

With over 50% more clarity than standard Andersen insect screens, Andersen TruScene insect screens are virtually invisible, so the view from your windows is as clear as all outdoors. And, because they practically disappear in your windows, they don't detract from the beauty of your home. TruScene insect screens are made with a micro-fine stainless steel mesh that is one-third the diameter of standard insect screen wire to let more fresh air and sunlight in, while keeping some of the smallest insects out. Smooth operating fasteners make it easy to attach and remove and the white frame matches your windows white exterior, so it will blend into your home for a neat, clean appearance. This insect screen fits the following Andersen double-hung windows:

  • Andersen 400 series woodwright double-hung window
  • Andersen 400 series tilt-wash double-hung window
  • Andersen 200 series narroline double-hung window (1980 present)
  • Refer to the andersen window insect screen buying guide to determine the correct insect screen size for your window, to access the buying guide, click on the more info tab and then click on instructions / assembly

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I returned these screens after I found a more affordable option The screens were the correct size, but I found a more affordable option from Home Depot. I never put them up, so I can't comment on the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great view, pricey though Does what it claims. Almost can't tell you have a screen in place. It is 3 times the cost of a regular screen though so I am only willing to put them in high traffic areas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from By By bugs! We recently built a new home and were concerned about budget so we did not purchase TruScene screens at the time of building. What a mistake! It is only April and already those tiny little bugs are making there way in. We are so glad that TruScene screens are available right up the road at our local Home Depot. What a difference! They look fantastic, don’t block the view and keep those tiny bugs out. I can even take pictures through closed windows now!!! No need to scare wildlife. Home Depot makes it possible to buy screens one or a few at a time as $ allows. If we manage to win the $250 gift card for review we will be a little more bug free. By By Bugs!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from just as advertised, easy to install Ordered these as replacement screens for two that were missing when we bought our house. You really can't see them from a few feet away. Very nice. Took away one star because one was more difficult to pull into the window frame - definitely the fault of my window/house, but the tab at the bottom of the screen that you use to pull it into the frame made me nervous because it feels flimsy and I worried that if I pulled too hard I'd bend the frame. Ended up getting on a ladder outside to push screen in from that direction. But overall very nice looking and were safely packaged.
