CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Costly for varied color and gaps I got these tiles to cover a cold, slippery-when-wet ceramic bathroom floor and at the same time stand up to a damp environment. It solved the cold and slippery issues, but I can see every individual tile. The color variation is significant from tile to tile, going from black to dark grey. Also there are several places where the tiles don't connect fully due to poor cuts with interlocking connectors. I could see the floor between tiles and had to use scraps to fill in those gaps. I would have expected better color control and quality of the cut for what t I paid. August 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product, reviews not 100% warranted The major problem I kept reading about was the variation in colors from tile to tile, causing pattern problems during the install. After laying down 5 boxes worth I saw the same result. From one viewing direction they were fine, from the other side of the room some were dark, other light. We then started rotating the tiles 90 degrees at a time which corrected some of the errors, but not all of them. ***Tip starts here*** We were about to give up (the room we were doing was 12'x20'), until a thought came to me which will help anybody who wants to install these. Each tile has a grain to it, where the lighter fibers flow in one direction. We checked each tile as they were removed from the box, and made sure the light fibers (easiest to see) were facing to the right (could be any direction of choice). With the light colored fibers always facing the same direction, the tiles all matched up perfectly! The entire room was covered wall to wall with no more variations. Hint for the edges: a sharp cutter works OK, but heavy-duty scissors cut more uniform pieces much straighter. October 19, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Tiles are not uniform The problem with these tiles are that they are not uniform, most are good but about one in every box is to thin or thick, it is not flush with the other tiles,I had to buy a extra box just to finish the job, otherwise it is a nice looking floor December 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by great product Great product for a basement gym. Some color variations in tiles may be of concern to some. October 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Looks great and an easy DIY. We used 54 boxes of the black to complete our basement. Tiles cut easily with a SHARP razor knife. So buy a big package of extra blades. The only thing you will find is there will be a slight tint difference between boxes. I thought by buying 50 at a time I would get a matching dye run, and getting the black instead of brown they would match better. But you can always pull them up after and switch them around if that bothers you. You also don't have to start in the middle of your room like regular floor tile. We started on one wall with the edging and it came out great, even going around a circular woodstove hearth. You will end up with a LOT of extra edging pieces though. A big waste I think. May 7, 2014
