Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hose is a drag This hose has an unexpected problem: it drags. The outer surface of this hose is almost sticky, and creates so much drag on the grass that it requires a lot of effort to drag it along. My wife does most of the watering. A couple of weeks after I installed this hose, she started complaining of a very sore shoulder, the result, she said, of having to wind the hose back onto the wall mounted reel. I was skeptical until I tried it myself. I was so difficult to wind it in that I actually broke the winding handle off the plastic hose reel., and that was even after allowing most of the water to drain out of the hose. Another problem with this supposedly "no kink" hose is that it kinks like crazy. I returned this hose to home depot and was pleasantly surprised to find they accepted the return. Kudos Home Depot. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Can do better with just about any other Home Depot garden hose this is light duty, kinks constantly which causes significant waste of time. I do not recommend unless you need an inexpensive hose for a fixed spot and is kept extended. October 9, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a very good hose. This hose has a cheap brass connector that has leaked since I first attached it. I've tried to fix it by adjusting the washer, putting in a new gasket. The hose also kinks very easily. I don't recommend this hose. September 14, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap brass fitting leaks... The male end that goes into attachments is somehow leaking. The second time I screwed a nozzle on it leaked right in the middle between the threading and part that is attached to the hose. Of all problems I've had with hoses in the past, that isn't one of them. May 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy Hose Fills The Bill I needed hoses that would hold up over extended use, and save me a lot of back-breaking work carrying water to my garden. These Apex hoses did the trick. They connected together easily, and do not leak at connections. I have not had a problem with kinking either. Great product. I suppose you could call it my "Life Saver" June 7, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Works but tangles If you're looking for a hose that will not be used far from connection point, then this works. Otherwise, the further you walk away with it, the more it will want to curl but instead it will twist and the water will stop flowing through. I found that the only way to prevent this from happening is to just stop re-wrapping the hose after use altogether. So it's just laying there on the side of the house. I know, I know, that's horrible right? But when I place it neatly, it's knots up when I try to unravel. So for now, it will lay, and I will deal with it. June 16, 2015
