We installed the base and walls per the instructions. It was used by only my husband and me. Tonight, 9/30/14, as I was stepping out of the base, it cracked 7 inches along the rounded, long edge. It will be nearly impossible to fix this base without ripping out the 3 sectional walls. They were liquid nailed so you know they will tear apart.
The base and walls cost $638.00 and now we have to "re-gut" our master bathroom. I need to know the manufacturer's warranty after installation.
Stay away from this product and company.

I bought this complete eleganza shower 5 years ago, it seemed cheap when I bought it for $900!!!
but I was tight in time to finish building my house before winter, 2 years later , Crack around the drain and this year the side has now crack as well. once your walls are glued , the base is impossible to change since it goes behind the walls,.so yea $900 -5years and I have to trash my new bathroom
thanks MIROLIN to force me to wreck my bathroom after 5 years
don't waste your money and time on this product

Very poor material. Had the shower 6 years & it cracked around the drain. Will need to redo the bathroom shower area just to change out the base. Used very little over the 6 years. Wrote manufacturer & received no response. At least they could offer to replace the base.

We remolded our bathroom and the base on this shower cracked around the the drain. And der to the design of the walls I have to go with this base or completely change out the shower. Only lasted a year and a half with 4 teen age girls in the house.

I have this exact set up...most here complain of cracks at drain. That failure is most likely due to 1st timers not setting up the framing and especially the floor under the shower base. It MUST be solid, level and flat...I use 2 layers of 1/2 inch ply as a base [level to surrounding floor] and I use a sheet of 3 mil plastic on top of that...I then add a somewhat damp mix of sand mix [that will set] under the base in its entirety, and then set the base right on top of that mix, pushing it down into the sand mix...when it's in place I screw it to the framed out 2x4 enclosure...I make sure it feels solid to my hand as I go around the shower floor....if you have used enough sand mix, mixed properly so it does not sag or slump under the shower pan, it will provide a flex free shower base once cured...I wait at least 24 hours...then install the surround walls following directions....hook up plumbing and away you go....some friends have used expanding foam instead of sand mix under the base...BUT, it will still flex when you move around while showering...that's the reason it may crack after steady use...the tightened drain assembly is pretty ridgid...a flexing base will transfer stress to the weakest area, IE: the pre drilled drain hole in the base....do a good shower pan install like the old pros do it and you won't have these crack issues....even the licensed pro may overlook or skip this extra time consuming crucial step...make sure whomever does the work tells you without prompting they will properly support the shower base... thank you for reading this...
