does this model come with on /off switch for heat

Asked by: red
Their is no on /off switch for heat besides unplugging or opening the GFCI reset . The circulation pump and heater runs to maintain set point. keep in mind it takes hours to reheat. When I'm not using the spa I set it to 85-95*F. Temperature rises three degrees a hour covered. When you first plug the unit it will run 24Hrs in till it reaches 100*F . Then you can set any set point desired the unit shuts down if not in use or temperature is satisfied . One button turns the circulation back on also the light can be turned on/off . All around nice spa with a 12 foot extension cord and the spa could get through small doorway. Just because the inflatable I had did not last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Nice Hot Tub For The Price This is a really nice tub for the price. The delivery took a little longer than expected, but it was worth the wait. The truck unloaded it onto a large tarp on our front lawn, and my wife and I were then able to move it to our back deck by dragging the tarp across the lawn (it weighs a bit over 200+ lbs empty). If you need to get it through a gate or a narrow opening, the tub can be put on its side and then carefully rolled like a big wheel. Rigid spas cannot be called "portable" by any stretch of the imagination, but this one is about as close as it gets. Fill up and initial operation was a snap. Just place it where you want it (providing it is level and can support the weight), put a hose in it, and fill. Plug it in to a 15 amp or higher rated outlet, and the pump / heater automatically starts. When we filled it a week and a half ago, the tap water was about 40 degrees. Outdoor air temperatures were running 20 - 30 degrees. It took a day and a half for the water temperature to get up to 103 degrees. Not too bad, considering. The pump is pretty quiet with the cover on, and there has been no annoying drone or noise to deal with. My wife and I can get a 30 minute soak before the water temperature drops down to 100 degrees. We have used it nightly thus far, and it easily reattains 103 degrees in an hour or two, even in these winter temperatures. The power of the jets is not exactly "hydrotherapy" strength, but they are more than adequate. The nine large jets have directional control adjustment, and they can be turned on or off individually. If you turn off the jets that are not being used, the remaining jets increase in power, and will give your back a pretty good pounding. The cover is a really nice quality one, but it does require installation of the clip retainers onto the tub. You have to drill several very small holes to do so. You will need a 1/16" drill and a small Phillips screwdriver. Just line up the cover where you want it, and then mark the clip and screw hole locations. Drill the holes in the outside of the tub, and then fasten the retainers to the tub with the included screws. Drill only about 1/2" deep (it will not go through to the inside of the tub, don't worry). It is a good idea to adjust the top carefully so that all four straps drape over the sides to the same height before marking the locations. We have not had it long enough to comment on electrical usage or longevity / durability, but so far, we are very, very pleased with the tub. We used to have a hot tub several years ago, and we have missed having one. We chose to get it from Home Depot due to positive prior experiences with them, and for ease in dealing with any warranty and/or service issues that might come up (we have a Home Depot very close to where we live). We wanted a nice quality small tub with basic features that would be comfortable for two adults, and this one fits the bill perfectly for us. You certainly could get four adults in it (depending on their sizes), but the comfort level would go down, and the water level might go over the top. Two medium sized adults and two kids would work, though. One size does not fit all when it comes to hot tubs, so consider who will be using it most of the time, and make your selection accordingly. All in all, this is a great tub.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good basic starter tub After a lot of research to replace our very poor quality and overpriced "Softub" we chose this Ar-200 and when we were ready to purchase Home Depot actually had it on sale so we ordered the tub, I originally thought the order processing and delivery time estimate was a bit long but we actually received the tub a week ahead of schedule, unfortunately the packing and palleting of the tub was pretty pitiful and the delivery driver and I had to manhandle the tub off the back of a semi trailer at 8:30 at night but we got it in the yard, next day found no real issues with the tub itself and rolled it into place, its simple to setup and get started up but was surprised it didn't even come with basic start up chemicals but I did have some leftovers, filled it with water and installed the cover and turned it on, actually came up to temp in 24 hours so next day after adding a little ph balance and bromine we were hot tub big that evening, now this isn't a huge tub, supposed to be a 4 person but if your above smaller than average you won't get 4 people in this tub, I'm a big guy @ 6'5" there is just enough room for me and the wife and I have to sit in the bottom in the middle to get my shoulders wet, it also isn't really deep! Seems to have plenty of power the jets are sort of adjustable in direction but a couple of mine are loose fitting and just go where they want, the water fall feature is a joke it's a jet spraying into a hole in the filter cover but you can turn that off. The cover fit well and seems to keep the heat in. All in all for a simple basic tub it does what it's supposed to do and seems pretty durably constructed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ar-200 spa review took forever to come from wayfair, but they put it in my back yard for me. Great spa for the $1900. I paid for it last March. Had a leak problem after 6 months and found out labor is only covered for 90 days. They sent me the part for the waterfall where it was leaking and my son-in-law put it in for me. It has plenty of jets and works very well.
