Yes because the hose is compatible with that faucet would not be compatible with a regular faucet. I have had no issues with the faucet. It is small but works great.

The filter replacement process can be completed by the homeowner. The process should take a couple minutes every 6 months.

Where is PID?

"New performance indicating device (PID) alerts you when it's time to change your filter." Where is this "PID" located and/or should I hear or look for something?

I put two in (one for cooking over the stove and to the ice maker). The other is at the sink with an instant hot water heater in line. My refrigerator has notified me it is time to change the filter in the refrigerator. All (including the refrigerator) are new and put in six months ago with a total kitchen renovation. It seems a bit strange that the refrigerator tells me a new filter is required, while my 3-stage "hasn't said" anything.

A review will follow, pending your answer. Thank you.

Hello, Mlstandley
Based on the combination of rust and odor, it sounds like your water is high in iron. While this system does a fantastic job at removing contaminants, like lead, chlorine, chloramines and cysts, it has little effect on iron. Combing this system with our whole house well water system would be a great match in providing clean and delicious drinking water while helping reduce the issues Read More

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by As advertised, easy installation... Watch the installation video provided on the HD website. Package was received in perfect condition, and prior to delivery due date. Opened the package for parts inventory, all was there, time to install. After a quick read of the included instructions, gathered the simple hand tools and began. It took longer to empty the cabinet for access, then the install itself. Everything went together as expected, be sure to allow at least 12 inches of clearance for future filter change outs. Once all connections were double checked, water was turned on, no leaks discovered. When connecting the inlet and outlet hose into the filter housing, be sure that 1 inch of the hose inserts into the connection ports (per instructions). Let water run for several minutes to clear out the filters and enjoy your next glass of filtered water, cheers! October 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love This Have two. One to undercounter instant hot water heater and one to over stove tap and to ice maker. Six month changeout show they are visually removing stuff. Also a glass of water left on an end table for several days while gone on vacation had evaporation but no sediment or cloudiness. Regular water from the tap is a far different story. I threw the faucets that came with the kit away, btw and used Danze faucets September 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Water filter system Greatforthe price and taste good as well, highly recommended October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Water tastes great, faucet doesn't fit decor We use the filter to both a faucet and ice maker and both water and ice taste great. Installation was easy. But the faucet does not fit in with the decor of our kitchen. We used another faucet. The water filter system should be sold without faucet. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good, excellent. I recommend this product it's work very well it easy for instalLin. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A World of Difference! Bought the Aquasana AQ-5300 3 stage under-counter water filtration system last month. Wow! Coffee tastes much better, hands lather a bit better when washing them. Almost instantly, 95% or more, (can't really detect the foul Chlorine smell and tastes as before), were gone. Clear, clean water without particulate matter and bad odors. Also use this for cooking and washing meats and vegetables, pastas, sauces; seems like most of the items rinsed under this tastes better than ever. Took approx. 45 mins to install; quick "snap" connections, simple plumbing. Most time was spent looking for my tools, as we just recently moved into a new home. Now I want a "Whole House Aquasana Filtration" system, but having difficulty locating a KDF-55 unit at a reasonable price, with 0.5mu carbon block filtration. By comparison, my Master bathroom smells like a swimming pool during mid-summer. Guess I'll build my own, unless someone can answer my questions below. BTW, put together professional photo labs in the past, so I know a bit about plumbing, filtration, and chemical disposal. This unit is a bit pricey, but the filters are the key and make it worth every penny. Tom 3/08/16 March 8, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by pretty good It filters the water but does not help out with the taste. It still tastes like "faucet water." Maybe it will get better but now I don't really enjoy the taste. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good price for a 3-filter element system. The filters were easy to install but I already had the plumbing fittings already installed from a previous filtration system. The water tastes fine with the use of this system. I would recommend this to anyone. August 9, 2016
