Today I am giving my review for the Aquasana AQ-5200 under the sink water purification home system.
Out of the box, this complex system is laid out simply and with minimal pieces. The main filtration unit comes assembled with both filters already connected. There is a battery in the top to activate it. 2 pieces of plastic tubing, the above the sink faucet, and all the connection rings and fittings.
The instructions are simple. Aquasana did a great job on the install manual. You WILL NOT have a problem installing this in the 45 minute recommended install period. First, start by turning off your cold water. I love that they state the obvious. Believe me, not all instructions state the obvious and that leads to a lot of problems.
I will say that the only downside is that there is no mention of how to mount the faucet to your sink. The obvious choice is to remove your sink sprayer, but who wants to do that? The sprayer is so useful. I had to go to my local Home Depot and buy a 7/8" Milwaukee Bi-Metal Hole Saw and a Milwaukee 3/8" twist release arbor. This allowed me to properly drill out a faucet hole in my sink. (see pictures below).
I RECOMMEND LAYING DOWN MULTIPLE STRIPS OF BLUE PAINTERS TAPE BEFORE DRILLING! This will eliminate scratching your sink and it will also catch metal shards and make for an easy clean up.
Another small con is that the tubes that feed water into the system and that feed water out to the faucet just snugly feed into the filter. If these hoses get moved, they leak. It's as if the gravity gets disturbed, the water will leak. This is no bueno! I had to keep checking back to make sure that my cabinet wasn't filling with water.
Once the system was finally installed and all the fittings tightened, I ran the system for the recommended 10 minutes. Everything works great!
THE WATER TASTES GREAT! The faucet is beautiful and it compliments my sink and kitchen!
BUY THIS FILTER! Drink healthy water and feel good that you and your family and friends are getting pure water.
HAPPY 8 GLASSES A DAY!

The 2 stage filtration system is simple to install. One person can set it up but 2 people would be ideal. Luckily we already had a dish washer air gap hole on our granite so no hole drilling was required. All was needed was 2 screws to hold the filtration system in place. Looks great on the granite. Very convenient for drinking water. However, the flow is slow. To fill up a pot would take over a few minutes. The brushed nickle finish is very nice.

I like this faucet, and my contracter had NO trouble installing it, and the water tastes great, but you should be aware of the following:
1. The flow of water through this thing is VERY weak; it takes a significant amount of time to fill the coffee pot.
2. You can see it by looking at the picture, but I didn't notice until I tried to use it the first time that the handle is on the wrong side! If you're right-handed, you tend to hold something heavy like a coffee pot in your right hand, especially as it gets heavier as it fills, and turn the water on and off with your LEFT hand. But this thing's knob is on the RIGHT-HAND side so you have to reach across to turn it. It's not THAT big a deal, but I find it annoying so I wanted to make sure I warned people.

I purchased a reverse omisis system but only to find out it is to big and bulky to put under my sink. So i opted for this unit instead and took the other one back. Since i have water and ice on my fridge, i wanted this on my sink to use when i steam vegie or make pasta etc etc. It is perfect for that. Installation was easy compared to the rev om system. The filters are easy to change when the time comes. tHE ONLY THING I DONT LIKE ABOUT THIS SYSTEM IS THE BASE PART OF THE WATER OUTLET THAT IS AT THE BOTTOM WHERE IT MEETS THE SINK. i THINK IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN WIDER AND MORE STURDY. Overall, i am very happy with this unit and look forward to using it for time to come...

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Pete Easy installation, marked improvement in water quality
This unit was easy to install and includes all fittings needed for complete installation. The included supply lines are rather short at 2.5', I would recommend measuring the distance from the cold water supply line to where you are going to mount the filter. If it is more then 2.5' you will need to get some 1/4" O.D. supply line which can be found about anywhere.
We have well water with a very high iron content. We do not drink our water. I do not think we will even with this filter, but I use it for all my cooking needs. There is a definite improvement, but with the amount of minerals in our water we still are not thrilled with the taste. If you have municipal water or well water with a cleaner aquifer you will notice a big difference.
I am not to impressed with the base of this unit, seems like it could be beefier, but it looks good installed.
If you are looking for an inexpensive way to improve your water quality this will do the trick.
