I was remodeling a bathroom in an area above the garage and purchased one of these shower stall. I had to pay the contractor to remove floor joists to install the unit but I hate using the pieced together ones as they always leak. After the joists were replaced abd the subfloor down and the unit installed, the plumber went to plumb and found that the drain was cut off center. The plumber was able to cut out one side of the drain hole so the drain fit better but it is still above the recess and the shower hold water. Not to mention that the plumber said that it will always be prone to leaking b/c of the mod he had to do. VERY BAD quality control out of this company. I am going to contact them and try to get some resolution.

This is an excellent product for contractors and homeowners. They are great for all types of applications, like finishing basements, appartment renovations, small "economy" bath renovations, etc.
Must be install correctly, must be installed correctly!! This product is only as good as the person who installs it! Too much to go into... but a few key points, shower must sit flush to frame walls on all 3 sides squarely, with little stress on unit. ALWAYS set these units or bases like this, in a fluffy bed of mortar.
These will last decades if installed correctly. I've been using these for about ten years in my rental property rehabs, never had one crack or leak.

Just purchased a similar version this weekend and after fighting thru the installation found an 1" wide surface defect near the bottom on the sidewall - called Aquatic's customer service where I was told that you cant repair these and to rip it out of the house and bring it back to the store to get my money back. The Aquatic service rep also told me it was my fault because I didn't take it out of the box at the store and inspect every inch closely

Just got this 36" X 36" shower unit installed and cleaned up. It seems well designed and constructed. The fiberglass is thicker than a similar unit we also purchased elsewhere and are not happy with. My wife and I were able to carry this through a rough window opening on a new construction site. It is not overly heavy. There were no surprises with the straight forward install. I did shim up the base to the sub floor ( using a little construction adhesive on the shims) for more support and a solid feel on the shower floor. Center drain lined up just where it should have with the precut hole in the subfloor. Hint: oversize your subfloor hole for easier installation of drain. Very satisfied with quality and price on this unit.

i have lasco 3 piecie they don't list it on line althought it would be better if you was to get one of the other brand that come with the glass door because you come out cheaper in the long run
348.00 the unit
170.00 glass doors
300.00 shower with vavle not trim kit
this was ground up install thier was no preexisting shower stall so i f i had to do it agian i would go with something that comes with everything...
although the unit was a easy install for me you will need basic carpentry skills....... and the plaster molding for the base was easy also
but i would suggest this unit for basment/concerte install
get one with a flat base that does not require plaster mold for a frim base

We just installed this unit opposed to the other 2 piece corner units they offer.
I would have liked to use the Neo Angle showers due to restricted space but after reading the reviews we went with this.
My dad's a plumber and my cousin is a contractor so putting it in was easy, I recommend having a professional near by just in case.
Measure 3 times cause you can only drill once for shower valve. We chose a single handle Moen shower faucet and put the shower head above the shower stall.
I will use expandable foam at the base instead of mortar, It should hold up just the same.

This was the original shower in my house. The bottom cracked after 10 years. When I started to remove it I was shocked at how easy it was to crumble with my bare hands. This is only for builders who will never have to use them.

After 3 years of use the shower cracked. I check the installation instruction and I am sure I followed them exactly. In fact after cutting it apart to replace it I did more than the instructions called for. What I did not do was bed it in mortar which is optional. If you buy this shower or any shower bed it in mortar. There were 2 cracks one on the bottom and one across the back. Of course the warranty is up. I am stuck remodeling a bathroom that was brand new 3 years ago.
