Customer Questions & Answers

i need to instal grab bars with this unit, how do i support the back wall to do this? i see the enclosure sits an inch and a half or more from framing.

Asked by: gotttaknow
That's going to be tricky. The back and sides only contact the wall along the outer edges and that's only about 1.5" flange. I would suggest a trial and error placement of the wood backing you are going to use to support the bar. Give it your best guess and tack it in place, then trial place the back and see if it sits correctly on the base. It must be a perfect fit onto the base, so don't let the backing push the panel out.

Can you suggest a drain for this model?

Asked by: Papa
I used the 60" base pan that fits with this back. I used a Sioux Chief PVC drain from the plumbing area at H.D. There are several versions to fit whatever plumbing you have. I think there's even a brass version.

does this include shower drain ? Does this come in center drain ? If not how much extra for a center shower drain

The tile shower we have now is 30 x 60 center drain.
Asked by: James
No, this does not include the shower drain. The 6030CS only comes in a left or right hand drain but the 6034CS comes in a center drain if that's what you are looking for. It is 4" wider but the style and look is the same. Click on the link below to see it:

Are there frameless doors that will work with the aquatic shower pan with the lip?

I have not been able to find any Aquatic shower doors on display in our area. Will any or all Kohler/Sterling frameless bypass doors work?
Asked by: Alb1
Hello, Any shower height bypass door will work, you need to get something to fit a 56 18" enclosure opening. Thank you

A2 30 in. x 60 in. x 76 in. 4-Piece Shower Stall in White is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 15.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit First I would not have this shower stall kit deliver directly to your home unless you want to recive it damaged. The packing is not made for shipping by common carrier. Other then that the shower kit is well made and fit perfect when my old tube was removed. Everything snapped-in and no caulk is required. If safety handles are needed to be installed on the left or right side of the stall You will need to bring your mounting meterial out 1-3/4" this will allow for proper mounting of the safety handles, if a safety handle in needed on the back wall you will need to bring the mounting material out 1". The instructions do not indicate what type drain fitting in used, I was able to use a standard kitchen sink drain and works great. For sound I used R13 in the walls around the stall and works pretty well in cutting down the sound. All in all the shower kit will fit well just make sure your walls are square and you should have no problem installing this product...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage I am a registered master plumber and I've installed many fiberglass shower units in the past. This unit was garbage. The fiberglass walls and base are thick and well constructed, but the locations where the walls secure to the base are poorly engineered. The lock in tabs on the shower walls are very small and spaced way to far apart. Once installed the flange at the top of the shower wall is the only point that comes in contact with the framing )expect for the base of course) since there is 6 feet between the base and the top of the wall the wall will flex a great deal when pushed on in the middle causing the lock in tabs at the bottom of the walls to break. If you must have a knock down shower stall go with the Kohler sterling unit. The walls have foam behind them in different spots to prevent this from happening and the price is cheaper. After the wall cracked I ended up tiling the walls instead. Don't waste your money

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be cautious The first tub arrived broke and had to be sent back. The second one had a slight crack in the corner base but was still usable. Is nice once it's installed be is fragile. Need to post the size of the back wall due to it almost not fitting down my stairs to get it in my basement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from After installation I am very happy The product we received came damaged the 1st time. We reordered it and parts of it came damaged again. Finally after the 3rd time we had all the parts and could install it. Installing was easy enough.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Shower Stall I should have inspected this product more closely, I felt uneasy upon delivery, for the box was scotched taped. In unpacking the shower I did a quick look, all appeared OK. However, half way in the install process I discovered two areas where there was damage on the back wall section; the bottom ridge left corner and the lower left shelf at the corner had spider cracks. I was not about to uninstall the base, the right side panel and the left panel with the faucet holds. No one was going to believe i did not do the damage at this stage of the construction. I caulked the problem areas, and kicked my butt for accepting this shower without checking it at the store before taking it home. Don't assume everything is OK because it is in a box, especially if it has scotch tape securing the opening. Stupid me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from stall shower; purchase and install i read instructions and gathered install info on line. I was replacing a tub with the shower so water lines had to be rerouted higher. it went in just as instructions said. I bought a thirty inch shower but I should have gone to 36 for the room. extra shelves are a godsend. I chose to not mount inside safety rails in fear of having them tear away over time. I did mount 2 rails outside of shower. floor is not slippery but I use a mat anyway.
