Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A2 6030CTL 5 FT. LEFT HAND DRAIN SOAKING TUB IN WHITE Easy installation, looks great and very solid feel when using it. June 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tub easy to put in and nice fit. The wife loves it because it is lower than are last one and now easy to get in. May 31, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Check for cracks I bought this a few days ago. After I brought it home, I opened up the box and checked for damage. I instantly found one crack on the flange on the left and one crack on the flange on the right. Both are near the top front of the tub. I took them back next day for a replacement. This time, I checked it in the store and make sure it's okay before I moved it home. The installation is not hard as long as you allow enough space to move it into place. Since I am installing it on a slab and it's level, I didn't have to do anything other than moving the plumbing out of the way and installed new drain pipe. During the tub installation, I found a hairline crack on the left front flange. I hate to move it out and return it. I hope this wouldn't propagate further. I am crossing my finger. The tub doesn't feel too flimsy and sit solidly on the slab. That's the tub part. For the back and side walls, the installation was easy. After everything was in place, I noticed a hairline crack about 1.5 inch long near the upper left "shelf" corner. Since this is new, I don't want it to cause any problem in the future. I will have to take it apart and return for another one. What a waste of time and effort. I have researched others at Lowe's, they all seem to have similar problems. I thought this would be better but it's really not. If you really have to buy this or any others similar product, I would suggest you check them carefully at the store or at home before starting your installation. September 17, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very sturdy plastic bathtub This plastic bathtub is sturdier than all the other plastic tubs that we looked at. It also has a much longer warranty period. The installation was pretty easy and I had no problems with cracks like others have had. A mortar bed is recommended but I used expanding foam instead.so far, I am very happy with this plastic bathtub! May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fresh and clean and in budget This tub is lightweight and easy to install. It feels very solid. Cons you should know about: The tub isn't deep and would not be the best choice for an adult intending to take baths. The bottom surface is pebbly and requires more than a light wipe to clean. The caulk-free channel (used with side panels)is nice on install but water pools under the channel and has to be cleaned out with a qtip every day. I will likely end up running a bead of caulk to avoid this issue. Dispite flaws this is a good, budget-friendly option for a kids bathroom or guest bath. March 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by STOP! Do not buy these tubs.... I did not head the warning of other reviews referencing cracks to tub corners and flanges.... I ordered 6 tubs for a small mult-family apartment. ALL SIX TUBS HAD CRACKS. Can you say wasted time, money, effort with my contracting crews??? Have you ever tried to coordinate orders, deliveries, returns with Home Depot? Not always easy. April 11, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst purchase ever I purchased my Aquatic A2 tub a little over a year ago. In less than one year the tub became discolored (I could see black along the ledges). Two different representatives gave me two different explanations. The first agreed with me that the finish was coming off. He blamed my using Scrubbing Bubbles and a nylon scrubber. I learned from him that I was supposed to use Dawn dish liquid and a sponge only. The company does not tell you this. They only tell you to use nonabrasive cleaners. In my mind that means no Comet cleanser or steel wool. The second representative from a different refinishing company said the gray discoloration along the edges was due to hard water buildup. He recommended using elbow grease and Bonami cleanser, followed by Gel Coat to wax the tub so future water would drip down to the bottom of the tub. The Bonami cleanser and elbow grease did not work nor did Lime Away, which I decided to try because it is made for water buildup. The Lime Away did get the sides of the tub clean but had no effect on the gray streaks on the ledge. My conclusion is that the gray streaks are indeed the wearing away of the finish on the tub. I asked the company to send out their A2 engineer to figure out the problem and fix it. The company won't respond to me anymore. They disown any complaints that are related to hard water, but they never give you a warning prior to purchasing that this tub does not do well with hard water. I now have a tub that will only get worse over the years with black streaks of the finish being eaten away. I will not be able to sell my home with that tub in place. The cost of the tub and surround ($747) is nothing compared to the cost of the labor ($1,300) to remove the old tub and install a new one. What a waste! And I had done my homework in researching the best tub to install. No warnings from any reviews prepared me for this problem. I plan to sue the company. I have posted my complaint here and in Yelp to warn any future buyers. If you don't have a water softener in your home, I wouldn't risk getting this tub. A tub should be made to withstand hard water as well as bathroom cleaners and nylon scrubbers. My other tub made of PVC doesn't have any of these problems. Neither did my previous fiberglass tubs. A2 is a special material designed by the company. They call it a gel coat. You can't refinish it or use any fiberglass repair kits on it. January 31, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Easily Prone to Cracking Opened up the box at home and noticed a small crack in the front corner, but I thought it was no big deal, then when i was going to put the tub in place I noticed the crack was traveling to the front of the tub. Returned it to Home Depot and looked at 2 more tubs that were cracked in the same place. Found one that looked OK and took it home. I completely took it out of the packaging just to find a crack... I returned it along with the sidewalls to Home Depot and went to Lowe's and purchased a similarly priced tub and sidewalls with no problems in it. Sorry Home Depot, if you're going to carry flawed products, I will be taking my business elsewhere. This product has caused a Major time delay and waste of gas.... August 30, 2015
