I've seen two reviews about this tub stating that it's not actually white and I am concerned that the slip resistant portion may be difficult to clean as another reviewer commented. Have there been any revisions to this tub in the last few years?

Answer:
No this tub isn't a true white and in fact, the surround is slightly different in color. I've not had my tub long enough for it to be dirty, but the slip resistant bottom is going to be a problem.

This unit also comes with a slip resistant bottom. For the most stubborn stains on your anti-skid floor, a paste should be made of a cleanser such as Comet, etc., and spread out onto the floor. Allow the paste to sit for 5-10 minutes and then gently scrub with a soft-bristled brush. To prevent scratches, the brush should be no rougher than the texture of a toothbrush.

Due to the lightweight material of this tub, are there any recommended weight limitations? Specifically, will there be any "give" to the bottom when being used by a 285 lb. man?

Our units are all tested to withhold 300lbs. If you have some concerns we do recommend that you set the unit in a bed of foundation material to reinforce the tub.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not waste your time. Do not waste your time buying this substandard product. I liked the size and shape of these tubs, so I considered taking my time to install them with extra caution to get it right, even after several builders told me not to use these tubs. Even with a proper mortar bed under the tub floor, the bottom has cracked in just over a years use. The construction of these tubs are so flimsy the thickness looks to be less than 1/16 of an inch thick. My son slipped on the "non slip" surface and his heel punched a hole straight through the inside wall of the tub. I couldn't believe it. Now I have to tear out this new shower/tub installation to replace it with a real porcelain over steel tub like I should have in the first place. What is so bad is, that I built two bathrooms in my house using two of these junky tubs that I will eventually have to tear out and replace. Do not buy these!!! Grrrrrrrr!!!!! July 24, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Best we could do We purchased this tub in spite of all the bad reviews. It took two before we got one that wasn't seriously damaged. The first one had a crack on the flange that sent spider cracks into the tub. The reason we got this one is because the choices for a 60x30x15 were not many. We did our homework and even went to new model homes to see what tubs they are using. The steel/enamel look like an old pot and can chip and rust easily. The cast iron is the best choice, but we could not use one in our application. The acrylic feel very flimsy and are prone to discolor and crack. We own an old boat and we are familiar with fiberglass/gelco repair, so we decided to buy this tub and beef it up hopefully to make it a strong, workable item. We will reinforce the bottom with wood/fiberglass, and set it on a mortar bed. Will report at a later date how this all worked. Pretty sad that our choices are between "bad" and "worse". So much for American ingenuity. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This old man dud it again. I had planned to use Delta tub and surround but the tub was a little too wide. This one fit great. So, one show down with Delta and one full tub and surround with this. It was much easier thn I expected. I I'd ignore their no caulk needed. I lke waterproof so, I caulk ed evy seam wih clear caulk. I will tell you if you have no skills hire someone. Don't b stupid and over rate your skills. That said, at 74 this old guy had fun doing this. The tub looks nice and the surrounding does too. The floor of the tub is textured and very safe to stand on. I did add a verticle grab bar to the right end of this left drain tub. The one I used was from Delta as we're the fixtures that match those used in the shower project. one tip, if you caulk joints use clear and tape both sides with painters tape first. Makes for a pro job. June 30, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cracked on the 6th year. Conveniently after the 5 year warranty expired. Cracked on the 6th year. Conveniently after the 5 year warranty expired. purchased on 11/14/2009. I still have the receipt to show proof. I expect something like a tub to last more than 15 years. i never heard of a tub having a life of less than 10 years. you would think a tub would be something that lasts until the next bathroom remodel. I would not recommend. not even to save to a few bucks. i now have to spend those few buck saved on a new tub and installation. I would not recommend. I will post pics of the receipt and the crack when have a chance. February 18, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks wonderful! We had the tub and surround professionally installed and while a few adjustments for old house walls had to be made, it looks terrific. The finish scratches easily as we found out during installation of the surround. As pretty as it is though, I discovered with my first bath that the no slip bottom is very uncomfortable especially when I tried to get out of the tub (and I suspect it's going to be difficult to clean as well). Even a tub mat didn't help much so I don't see me doing too many bubble baths in it and that's the main reason we bought it. Overall I'd recommend it as long as these things are taken into consideration. October 16, 2015
