Hi Donald.
Thank you for your question.
Due to the narrow base on this arbor, it is not safe nor is this structure strong enough to hang any type of a swing on this garden decoration.
Climbing vines and flowers are no problem for this arbor but a swing is not a part of the structural design feature.
If you would like to rebuild this unit using 4x4 or 6x6 then you could have a structure strong enough Read More

Climbing vines and flowers are no problem for this arbor but a swing is not a part of the structural design feature.
If you would like to rebuild this unit using 4x4 or 6x6 then you could have a structure strong enough to accomodate a swing. You would also need to expand the base of this structure as well.

What's the inside and outside widths of the sections that go to the ground. I assume your 64" width applies to the cross piece on top.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Arboria Astoria Outside Cedar Arbor This arbor is 82 inches tall but it is not 64 inches wide. It is only 47-1/2 inches wide. It barely fit in the space where we planned to install it. It was a little difficult to follow the directions for assembling. June 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by beautiful upgrade This was easy to assemble and install and is a definite upgrade for a cheap metal arch that was destroyed in a windstorm. May 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Arbor! This arbor is quality, attractive and easy to put together. We used it as the backdrop for our outdoor wedding and then moved it to the front yard. We had a little brass plate made for it to commemorate the date. It was perfect for our wedding, and it looks great in all the pictures! May 19, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Is not strong enough It is not strong enough, for the quality, I think it is expensive July 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Slow start but good finish Once figured out that the instructions didn't really apply to the product, we were able to use just the picture and manage it. The finished product is beautiful! May 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Awesome! I reviewed this once before, and I will say it again, this is an awesome product and look as nice as I'd hoped it would, BUT the statement on the box that it is "easily assembled" is NOT true. I am a widow in a wheelchair and I would not have been able to put this together by myself. My younger brother came to the rescue and it took a lot out of him to finish putting this together. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cedar Arbor Our arbor came with a chunk of wood on the supports broken offm but we were able to glue it back on. It's a great looking item, and putting it up and together was fairly easy. I think the quality of the slats could have been better, but if it lasts 10 years as my last one did, it will be worth it. Seems too costly for what you get. May 2, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It was easy to assemble, and it looks great. I looked at a lot of these arbors and this one looked the best for the money. I was not unhappy when I put it up. I bought longer stakes to put it in the ground because I wanted to get below the frost line but other than that I am totally happy. October 27, 2012
