Do you have a post and spreader plate that would allow two of the Chadwicks to be dual mounted?

I like the design of this mailbox and the standard pole, but need two mailboxes mounted for a multi-family unit. Is there a spreader plate and post that would accommodate a dual mounting? Many thanks.

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. It is possible to mount the Chadwick to Architectural Mailboxes Duo Spreader Plate. This will require special spacers for the installation. If you are interested in this set-up, please contact the manufacturer to ensure you have the correct spacers for installation at 800-464-7491 or info@architecturalmailboxes.com.

Chadwick Nickel Accents Black Post Mount Mailbox is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price, quality and apperance The mailbox was delivered well packaged and dent free. It did not include any hardware to secure it with the post. I used 4 Phillips screws from my old mailbox. Installation was super easy and took about 5 minutes. I made pilot holes into the base wooden plate using a 3/32” drill bit and then secured the box using a Phillips bit. No surprises, all worked out just fine. I installed it on my wooden mailbox post and it looks really nice. It weighs about 4.5 lbs. The lid’s opening and closing mechanism works smoothly. The flag for outgoing mail also works fine, very easy to rotate. Build and finished paint quality is good. The handle and flag color is somewhat silver. The flag is easy to spot from distance so I don’t see a reason to paint it red. It sure looks much nicer than my old worn builder grade mailbox. My old mailbox had my home number stickers pasted on it. I have looked at Home Depot site and cannot find the white colored number stickers. Most of them are black and some are in gold. Kind of surprising that most of the mailboxes out there are in black and so are the sticker colors. Common sense seems to be missing. Overall, I love it and the clean look it adds to my home’s front.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Upgrade After a passing truck smooshed my old box and broke the post I wanted to upgrade the look of my mailbox.. I purchased one of HD's vinyl decorative posts which added some bling and decided on this mailbox to compliment the new post. Very nice looking mailbox in black. The body itself has some extra detail and the front handle and flag (Aluminum) are a nice added touch.Solid upgrade in looks and quality construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good looking mailbox I needed a new mailbox so I decided to go with this one. This is a nice looking, stylish mailbox. The nickel accents on the door handle and flag really stand out against the black box. The door opens and closes with ease. The flag goes up and down as it should with little effort. The installation was super easy. This is a great looking mailbox. I'm glad I got it. I know you won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good looking We just moved and needed a new mailbox. This one is very attractive and, with a post we bought from Home Depot, it was very easy to install. The mailbox has holes along the bottom that make installation a cinch. It has a very nice pull to open the door and a matching flag that is the same heavier material as the door pull and stays up when you set it. Nice addition to our new home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black post mount mailbox This mailbox is built quite well and will last for quite some time. It an be mounted either from the bottom of the unit or from the side holes that are already to screw into. The silver lined mail flag will attract the attention of the mailman from a ways out. I recommend this mailbox to anyone that needs a mew box or needs to replace an old one. You wo't be disappointed.

Works easily and you can hear the snap when it closes. The flag is tight and raises up or down with little effort but is secure in the way it is fastened. The finish is very good and the handle and flag give the entire package a very desirable appearance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Basic Mailbox Rural mailboxes don’t last forever. If they survive the snowplow, they get sprayed with salt and sand in the winter and more sand and the occasional beer bottle in the summer, gradually getting rusty and dented with a door that won’t stay shut. So, replacing the mailbox every few years is a fact of life if you want to protect your mail until you fetch it. This is a nice model with a good powdercoated paint job and a tight fitting door. The door trim is plastic, part of the reason it fits nice and tight, I hope it holds up in sub-zero weather. It came with a grey colored flag, but after contemplating it a bit and checking USPS preferences online, I decided to paint it red. Grey seemed like it just wouldn’t stand out against a grey road on a grey day for my grey-haired mail carrier. She already needs to watch for deer, so I don’t want her taking her eyes off of the road for too long. Would have been nice if it was already red. Installation was a snap. In my case I just screwed sideways through the holes at the bottom into a plank at the top of the post. 3 minutes max to take the old one off and install the new one. Should last a several more years.
