70-Pint Dehumidifier is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Unit This dehumidifier really sucks the moisture out of the air. The only reason it doesn't get fives all around is because of what I believe is a design flaw: Once the reservoir is full (causing the unit to turn off), it is virtually impossible to empty it without spilling water on the floor because the reservoir is filled to the brim. It would be better if it turned off while leaving a half inch or an inch of space to prevent spills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way better than LG! Danby is a dandy. After going through 2 LG dehumidifiers that just QUIT, this Artic Aire is really quality. It pulls Florida humidity out of the air so well that the a/c unit works much less!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value Unit is much quieter than I expected, easy to work controls and options. I like the drain tube option so that you don't need to empty bucket. The multiple settings for humidity levels is really good. Fan will run at times even if unit is not in dehumidify mode, perhaps this is to cool the unit, not sure, but it would be nice if there was a light to tell you if it is in dehumidify mode as the unit is so quiet you really can't tell if it's only fan running. The humidity level readout is a bit off ( I have a separate meter) on my unit but within 10%. Overall unit performs well, I have had it on 24/7 for almost 1 year now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from luv it I had tried the least expensive other brand 30 and returned it. I love this unit. I am using it in Florida 3 bed condo. I keep the humidity down to lower than 50 to keep no-see-um bugs from coming into house. it will put out a little heat but the lower humidity makes the a/c run far less. I can keep the indoor a/c a little higher but feel cooler with the humidity lower. has a handle inside drawer / bucket. the bucket takes a little getting used to but once you get used to it takes only a second to empty. temperature now climbing outside to 90 plus but a/c running less and appears my electric bill has declined. I get no mold in my bathrooms no musty smell in closets. I usually turn mine off manually when my house reaches setting. I track whole house humidity. but when I go away and leave it the auto cutoff works fine. Unlike my neighbors I don't have fleas, no-see-um bugs , or any other bugs. I have read they don't like low humidity??

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great experience The dehumidifier is everything we expected and more, My sole criticism is the difficulty of removing the filled bucket from the main unit. My previous dehumidifier was not nearly as effective in removing humidity from my basement but it was much easier to remove the filled reservoir. Because of this, I am in the process of hooking it up for continuous draining even though I had not originally planned on doing so.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from artic air dehumidifier works great at removing moisture from a 13x30 ft room.with 65-85 percent humidity outside it removes about 2 gallons of water in about 3-4 hours.but it is hard for the window ac unit to overcome the amount of heat it distributes into the room.overall a good mobile unit that rolls easily on hard floors and carpet.overall a good value for the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rapid dehumidifying, small condensate tank The machine works well, but has two flaws: first, and most important -- the condensate receiver tank is too small. It fills up in less than a day. Only holds 1 1/2 gallons. Not logical with a high capacity dehumidifier! second, the controls on the top are somewhat confusing. Don't try to work them without the manual handy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good Bought this to replace a recalled brand. This one runs quieter. easy to empty. Had it a couple months and is working good now that the damper weather has started up. Easy to clean the filter although you have to align it carefully to get it back in. Will just have to wait a few years to see how it holds up..
