As mentioned in the review title, this is my 2nd one because it works great. The first one I had for about 4 years with great success, however this past winter we got several freezes and I did not take it in as I should have. I could probably repaired the ice-split fittings but time was getting short for our monthly BBQ, sooooo I purchased a new one and will replace the fittings so I will have two. Still a great pump!!!

Extremely noisy. Wanted to use it to improve the misting system in my patio.
The noise level was excessive. I did try to isolate the pump, but that didn't help much.

I have just hooked this up and let it run for about two hours.
The instructions aren't super clear, but you must remove the pin clips out, then push down on the fitting around the plug to remove it.
The pump isn't terribley loud, but it does vibrate which causes a rattle on the misting line.
If the hoses aren't secured just right, they will leak. Also, the unit requires a water pressure regulator to drop the pressure to 40 psi.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bret Great when it works
This is the second one I have purchased. The first one didn't even make it through the first season but this one seems to be working great. Creates a fine mist so you don't have wet areas under your misters and is a little noisy so try to find a place to install from where you are sitting.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Habbyguy Great compromise solution
I'd installed hose-pressure systems before, with disappointing results. I didn't want to spring for a high-pressure system - it would just be overkill for my small patio. I took a chance on this pump and a couple sets of the low-pressure mister systems, and am pretty happy (the reservations I have are about the hose in the systems, not this pump). The pump puts out enough pressure do supply 15 nozzles in my system with lots and lots of output... it looks like the kind of mist cloud created by a professional high-pressure restaurant system. The pump is fairly quiet, mounted around the corner and behind a stub wall, though you can still hear it hum if it's quiet enough. This is the perfect solution if you're looking for something better than the $30 garden hose system, but don't want to drop $1K on a high-pressure system.
The one thing I would change would be for the pump to restrict water flow when it's shut down - that would mean turning the system on and off would be done with the power switch (or a remote wifi power adapter), instead of also having to shut off the water to the pump. I'm sure this would make the pump cost considerably more though, so I don't hold it against the designers.

Just hooked up on my yacht.pressure on yacht low. Thought pump would vaporize water better.seams like pump not very good unless water pressure from supply is high.will try with less spray heads

Junk! Two trips back to Home Depot thinking the first pump was bad. Second pump was the same! Don't bother. And I have great high water pressure in my home! So so much for the pressure boost by Arctic Cove
