This personal mister works well and sure will be relieve in summer.
It sprays very fine and surprisingly long with not too much pumping. The only thing is that once you have pressure pumped in it, the pump handle will not stay all the way down anymore. But that's not a big issue.
Overall a great device to have for the summer heat!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by blackfrog99 Good for the purpose it says its for, just no way to drink water.
This thing is great for just misting and nothing else. However, the misting does work really well and lasts a long while with a full bottle. The fact that it is not a drinking bottle also, kind of limits its convenience for use.

Takes a little working (or maybe it's just me and that's entirely possible) to get it to do what I want. But the product is what I was looking for. Don't want to be messing with batteries or charging so this idea (pump) is better. Puts out a nice mist - doesn't soak you. Even though 16 oz., the water lasts a long time so will be bringing to outdoor events (air shows, beaches, picnics, etc.) for sure.

Awesome tool and with our recent heat up it has proven quite useful.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by SavvyCat Misting Bottle Missing Efficiency
Initially, I thought this was a great idea, the description appealing, and that it would be quite handy. Sadly, it's all only on paper. Once I got the bottle and understood what it could and could not do--how it really worked--I was disappointed.
First, this is *just* a misting bottle. It does nothing else. It serves no dual purpose. In that regard, I can't imagine anyone using it for an activity such as hiking. You already have to carry water with you, and this is an added water carrier just for the purpose of misting. You would have to carry both and use both, and have the weight of both on your person. The bottle is heavy, even when empty. While the pressurized constant misting is a neat thing to have, it is much more efficient to carry a bottle that is used for both drinking and misting, even if you have to hand pump it.
And. about the misting... What looks like a handle in the picture is actually the handle to the pump. You can't carry the bottle by this because it will just extend. The mist is controlled by a tab that is on or off, and not easily switched from one to the other. It's small and stiff. It would have been a lot better design if there was a temporary trigger, or a larger tab or ring. I couldn't work this very well with garden gloves on. All the while you have it pointed toward your face while trying to turn it off, or turn it around and mist everything else so you can get at it. Very poorly designed.
In the end, for what it is, it is very solidly made with seeming quality materials. That's why it's so heavy. The solid brass fittings will probably keep it functional longer than you want to keep it, unfortunately. The plastic is very thick and heavy to support the pressurization. I'm not sure how well this will hold up, however, if you happen to drop it. I had further concerns what might happen if you drop it and it breaks while under pressure. Not too much of a worry because after pumping it to just before red on the handy pressure gauge, it only held the pressure for an hour-and-a-half on three separate tests.
The only use I have for this bottle is plant misting. Flip it on, hold it high, hold it low... that will work nicely. That's about it.

I was wondering if anybody out there knows how to open the bottle i know it sounds dumb, but its really hard to open. i'm guessing it has something to do with letting all the air and water pressure out. If you have the answer it would be very helpful to me thank you.

This is a very simple product to use. It’s a miniature pump sprayer. Just fill w/ water to the line, pump up sprayer within the safety limits, and move the lever forward to experience a nice cooling mist.
I use it while playing golf, but my wife “borrows” it while we’re at the beach to keep cool, so I bought her one too! My in-laws are contractors, they saw it, and wanted one too so I bought them each one. My mother-in-law uses it while she is outside caring for the lawn and plants and my father-in-law uses it building houses in the hot FL sun!
You can even put some ice in it to keep the water cold if you wish, but it is difficult to balance the room in the reservoir for the pump and the ice. I chose this model instead of the battery operated one because I didn’t want any parts to go bad and then not be able to use my mister. Also I found you can put the devise in the freezer for an hour max if it is full, but the water in the tip might freeze and break it. Not to worry because Home Depot sells the tips too! This is also a delicate balancing act and not for the faint of heart if you worry about breakage. I froze the sprayer tip the first time, but it thawed out and I had an ice cold mist in the hot FL sun playing at the LPGA International. Fortunately I didn’t freeze it to the breaking point.
Hope this review helps you make an informed decision about this product. I’m very happy with it and am now thinking about the misters Artic Cove makes to go around your patio/deck in the summer!

This product was a lifesaver during an all day festival under the hot Atlanta sun. The hand pump and gauge were easy to use and accurate. This thing puts out a ton of mist and a full bottle lasts longer than I would have ever thought. The thick walled bottle seems like it can withstand even the most rugged of use. A must need for anyone spending time out in the heat. Thank you Home Depot.
