Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great A/C went out in Phoenix. This did the job till it was fixed. We have a small townhouse (1400 sq ft) and this did a fine job of keeping the living room / dining room area livable, around 80 degrees, when it was around 100 degrees outside. Worked even better when I added ice. Just remember to keep some doors and windows opened a crack so it can pull fresh air from outside and push hot air out, and start it running early in the day, before it gets too hot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It does it job. It not an A/C people, but it will maintain the room temperature. For example, I turn on the unit in my garage and took my first temp reading at 10am 80 degree indoor/ 80 outdoor. Took second temp reading 6pm 80 degree indoor/ 94 outdoor. My garage is 500sq and face west, so sunset beat on my g door and turn it into a brick oven (during the summer). Again this is not a A/C (it does blow cool air) it won't rapidly cool down an area, so use it before you need it. I live in Las Vegas so I give this unit my desert approval.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good product and it works, if you follow directions This product performed better than expected. I live in Colorado, so the humidity is dry most of the time. You have to watch your forecast for the humidity, which is as simple as looking at your cell phone for weather updates. The product is NOT designed to work in humidity over 50%. I would even say 30%. Below that, it performs flawlessly. Even adding ice really helps. Our temperature goes down 7-10 degrees cooler than the outside temp. The drier it is humidity in the teens, the better the product works and the cooler your space will become. If you live in a high humidity environment and are trying to cool a space larger than recommended ---forget it, it won't work. Some of the other reviewers are simply knuckle-heads that don't understand the product and what the concept and purpose is. Ignore those reviews. The drier the better. The smaller the area the better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Cool! Easy set up. My husband bought this to use in our garage here in Tucson, AZ where the temps reach over 100 degrees. It cools things down quickly. At one point we had to turn the cool feature off and just let the fan run because we got cold. This is definitely worth the price and is a great quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS AIR COOLER IS AWESOME!!!!! I LOVE IT. This Air cooler is big but its Awesome!!! I LOVE IT. IT DEFINITELY DOES THE JOB. The temp in the morning today was 89 in the shade. I was wanting to purchase an air cooler for some time but I knew they were big that was the only thing I wasn't sure about but now that I have one I couldn't imagine having to go through the day in such heat without one. Adding ice really makes it so much colder however it does a great job without the ice as well. It has a really strong fan which I think isn't very loud compared to normal A.C units. The water tank on this cooler is pretty big which is nice. It seems to last a pretty long time before having to refill it. When I was shopping for these I was concerned about the weight of the cooler since I was wanting to move it from room to room. I'm female about 5', I have no problem at all moving it around by myself. Its really a nice cooler over all. I really love it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone........................ IT HAS BEEN SUCH A LIFE SAVER!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works for me with some qualifiers I purchased this mainly for my dogs to give them some cooler air for their beds in the evening. They sleep outside in dog beds under the back courtyard. In can get warm in AZ so I think this gives them more comfort in the evening. For this purpose it works really well. I've also tried it various places in the house and it works pretty well. To really feel the cool it needs to be quite close to you. I don't find that it does a full room particularly well. However, as I say this you can feel a bit of overall difference in the room, but most of the comfort is if it is blowing quite close to you. Overall the product seems to be reasonably well made with the exception of the wheels as they are cheap plastic are not very good and the unit is challenging to role when it is full of water. This can be rectified with installing much better wheels; to bad they didn't supply better wheels with the unit. The other item is is gurgles quite a bit from time to time. At first I thought it might be from filling to the full line. However, after a number of days, locations, and varied amounts of water in the unit, I can not validate a cause. I think this might be annoying if one were using it in a room for sleeping. One final item is that the side handles, more like grip areas, are not well designed. They could be both deeper and designed so your fingers can get a better grip inside the grip area. When empty this is not a big deal, more important when you are moving it with quite a bit of water in it.
