I got it for misting a couple of orchid plants. At first it sent out a nice steady very fine mist but within maybe 10 or 15 minutes the amount of mist was less and less yet it used very little water from the full bottle. Then it stopped working. I changed the batteries and it still wouldn't work. Eventually I got it to work again for a few minutes. You can't tell when it's on or off if it won't spray at all. Waste of money and time.

I was excited to use this as I live in southern Az and it tends to get somewhat warm here. First thing I did when I got to my jeep after purchasing this was to pop it onto my nice cold bottle. After following Directions to make it work I turned it on. I've seen better mist from sneezing children. I tried turning it off and it wouldn't turn off. Out of the jeep I went and returned it, without ever leaving the parking lot... Get a pump up one, sure it's more work, but you won't have to buy batteries to pretend something works. Oh yeah, it definitely leaked into the battery compartment also.

This is really more on the scale of a decorative fogger than a mister - actually most of the cheesy water decorations that put out "fog" have 10x the amount. Bought it to act as a localized humidifier as I work at my desk. 1.5 hours later it has put out a total of about 1/2 ounce of water - not enough for a tiny humidifier, and definitely not enough to cool you outside on a hot day. It takes 3 seconds with my fingertip 1/2" from the top to feel slightly damp
At about 1 hour, the amount of mist/whispy fog dropped to about half of what it started as. That either means it sucks down the batteries or the 1/2" the water level dropped is too far to be effective going up the wick.
Package says you can't use rechargeable batteries, and that batteries will last 3 hours. If you want to try this, plan on bringing a ton of batteries and replacing them after every use.
Very disappointed, but glad I only wasted 97 cents on clearance.

Figured this would be a decent purchase for all the hikes I go on out here in Arizona. Turned out to be well worth the money. It probably keeps my body temperature down at least a few degree which gives me just enough energy to finish my hike with a purpose instead of just trying to finish. After taking a chance on this I went back to the store to purchase the "Arctic Cove 16 oz. Personal Misting Bottle" which turned out to be awesome as well. Can't say enough about both

Had to return the first one as it didn't work at all. The 2nd one works depending on the minute. At times it won't turn on and then it would just start without anyone touching it and then you couldn't get it to turn off. It's going back, don't waste your time and money. We also picked up the rechargeable 160z personal misting bottle, much better quality though a bit pricier.

1. The wick isn't long enough to reach the bottom of the bottle
2. I don't put out enough mist to really make a difference.
3. Have some trouble turing it on and off.

Bought one of these for my wife. First it didn't fit the water bottle we had then even after finding a bottle it would fit it wont reach the bottom half of the bottle. they say mist but its more like fog that blows away with the slightest breeze. you've seen those table top foggers for decorations well this is a bottle top fogger. No good for cooling at all!
