At 68 years old I just purchased my first riding lawn mower, the push deal had become too much for me. I do not like grass clippings that can be tracked into my house on my lawn so I purchased this grass catcher to go on my new Ariens riding lawn mower. The installation was a breeze and the grass catcher did a wonderful job ... I was very pleased with the results. Not only grass clippings but leaves and any trash was vacuumed up and in the end I had a nice crisp, smooth, clean lawn. The dynamics of my Ariens mower in tandem with this grass catcher really gets it done ... very pleased with this purchase.

We love it! A little time to hook up the bagger system to the mower and we were off and running! The fall leaves are falling and how nice it was to NOT rake! This is a great addtion to the mower. Easy to dump the bags after collecting the clippings & leaves which was really compact and held a large amount. The time saver is fabulous.

I think it's way overpriced but its' well made and works good. The little air movement gauge works good but don't follow the instructions when it stops. Through use and experience, you'll see how long it takes to fill the bags. If you wait 'til the gauge stops, you'll have a mess on your hands.
When the gauge stops spinning, the top is completely full, in fact packed, so when you open it everything falls out. Stop periodically sooner and change the bags before this happens.

The fit was pretty good although one of the spring/rubber strap connectors has already pulled itself out of the discharge chute after only three uses. The only other problem is the top of the discharge chute only fills the left basket first and then the grass slides off into the right basket, seems like the outlet should be bigger to allow grass to drop into both baskets evenly. Installation was easy enough and it doesn't stick out to far off the side of the tractor. All in all a decent product that seems overpriced for what you get.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SuperDuperYooper Priced a little high, but workable
As in the other reviews, easy to assemble and use. I had mine installed in 10 minutes with nothing but an adjustable wrench. The quality of plastic, latch especially, remains to be seen since I've only just purchased this unit. Although I'm not sure how long it will hold up, if it does it is great tool. Some reviews tell you not to use trash bags because it will affect air flow, but it clearly states to use trash bags in the manual. I suspect the people who didn't take the time read it, and complain about it not working haven't realized you need to go slow for max benefit. 33 gallon trash bags work perfectly, works like a charm.

I installed this product on a 42" Ariens garden tractor and it works as advertised. Install was very easy, took about 30 mins. I was looking for something to help with leaf pick up and it works great. Very easy to empty and re-install bags. I used gorilla glue on the seal around the shout and bin top so it wouldn't keep coming out when emptying. Otherwise perfect product.

For $300 I can't complain. The only downside is that the installation has the bags a bit high. This elevates the center of gravity of the tractor and, when the bags are nearly full, adds to the ability to tip your machine. Nothing earth-shattering, just be aware this is the case. My previous tractor/baggers hung lower in the rear and you can feel the difference in even a slight slope turn. Aside from all that, the bags seem sturdy, the hood typically flexible plastic is fine and the tube fits well to the mower deck output. One more thing. When assembling, attach the mower deck receptor tube first then snake the upper tube through the hood and bring to the already installed lower tube, It is a lot easier this way than to try and attach a tube already with one end in the hood and not easy to align with mower deck output.
