Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by winzip5 ONE BIG BAD LAWN TRACTOR
I am now on my 5th yr with my arines 54 with the 25 koler and for you guys like me that wonder if it can do what you need the answer is yes and more. I cut my lawn and moms and together they total about 5to6 achers and that big job which use to be a half day is now about 2 hours and this mower just takes it like nothing no matter how tall the grass is. so if u want a big tough tractor that can get it done this is the one. No problems with nothing just change the oil and blades and the free blades for life a plus just ordered another new free set and by figuers that makes my cost go down again. Thanks Arines for a great machine that pays me back every year i keep it.

Now my unit is a few years old. The Kohler 25 hp motor gives it alot of power. If I skip trim time, I can mow about 2 acres in 1.5 hrs. My unit did not come with an hour meter like the new ones. Wished it had. Wished the turning radius was less. My overall biggest complaint with my unit is that the traction capability of the rear drive tires could be immensely improved. Traction is not good on slopes. I have to get a running start before I enter the slope. The other thing is that they provide for you to be able to hitch to the rear of the tractor. However, in my opinion, that hitching area could be strengthened up as it can not stand only a small amount of weight. Overall as a lawn mowing tractor it is not a bad unit.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Greg49203 More tractor than I expected.
First off, this tractor (54" mower, 25 h.p.) has more power than I need. Thick grass on pretty serious grades don't slow it down. All the power you could want. Controls are easy to use. Steers nice, so you don't need Cub Cadets power steering. The mower attachment seems a little light, though. Twig arms hold it to the bottom of the tractor. Hope they hold up over the years. My only other gripe is that the front bumper keeps the hood from opening all the way. How about if all the engineers communicate with each other so these componants work together?
After a couple of months, this has been a good unit, which i would buy again or recommend to anybody.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BMoore Poor Quality and LOTS of Belt Trouble but Kohler Engine is Strong
I have now had this mower for 3 years and just started my 4th season of mowing approximately 1.5 acres of flat ground. I noticed immediate trouble after the first month with the belt slipping off. I adjusted the deck and wheels and made sure it was properly level but have had increasing trouble even after replacing the belt with a new factory belt twice already. The left rear axle started to break away from the frame after about a year and was still under warranty so it had to be welded back together. Their is absolutely zero positive traction going up the slightest slope as my yard is almost entirely flat except one small slope leading to the roadway and I have to get a running started to make it even when the ground is dry. I would never buy this mower again and I bought it when the price was $1600 3 years ago, so seeing it marked at $2700 blows my mind. I'm replacing it with my grandfathers 12 year old John Deere that runs like a charm and going to TRY to get $500 for this one on craigslist......

The only thing that was good about this tractor is that it consistently fell apart within the first two months of buying it and Home Depot agreed to take it back and issued a full refund.
First time we started it up the entire undercarriage fell apart; it was repaired by a reputable local tractor dealer, worked twice after that, and then fell apart again.

54 in is the size to go for 1+ acres. This is a real monster. I enjoy driving it. Also it is fast.
