Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Small but mighty I bought this snowblower last Dec after my old one of 15 yrs gave up the ghost. So glad I bought this instead of repairing old faithful. It is a thing of beauty in nice fluffy snow, but exceeded all expectations in heavy wet snow. We had 15 cm of wet snow mixed with rain & slush so bad that the municipal snowplows had a misery of a time & left chunky wet snow a foot & a half deep & 20 feet back from the road. This small, light, easy to move machine just slowly ate through all the mess (my 100' drive as well as the snowplow crud). My drive looks like it was plowed, it is so well cleaned. Excellent value for the money. Highly recommend. February 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great little machine. Very easy to assemble and fired up on the first pull. Bought this unit at the start of winter and have used it at least several times already. I suppose I should have scooped the 28" model seeing as I have over 200 feet of driveway and another 150 feet of paths to cut to the out buildings but this little monster rips through it all and looks for more. It even eats through the piles of snow that the township leaves at the front of our driveway when they plow our road. That, and the price just couldn't be beat. $350.00 off retail. Overall, I highly recommend this product. January 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tough snowblower After going through 3 heavy snow falls in a week this machine was indispensable,I thought 205CC would not be powerful enough to cut through the snow/freezing rain but it was more than adequate, the 24" width is perfect size to fit in small corner for storage. This is a reliable blower, solidly built, has a low gear for going downhill slowly on it's own so you won't have a run away blower. the electric start is nice to have but I find it easier to just pull the cord once and off you is very easy to operate even for a left handed person .you won't regret buying this snowblower. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great blower, weak manual Fantastic blower. Obviously made of quality materials and components. Runs well. Starts on a single pull (I doubt anyone bothers with the electric start, as you can start it manually faster than plugging in the extension cord). Does a fantastic job of blowing snow (so good, that I have yet to put the chute to its highest setting). The only drawback is the user manual is a bit lacking, especially in the initial assembly section (needs FAR more pictures). I found myself questioning every step, just to be sure I wasn't making a mistake. In the end though, everything went together quite well. HOWEVER, the Ariens web site has a FANTASTIC "quick start guide" (you'll need your model number and serial number to find the exact one). It's full of colour photos, and would make assembly FAR easier. Find this before assembling yours, and you'll be happier. January 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ariens 24" snow blower I have had an Ariens tractor before c/w roto -tiller/mower/blade and found it exceptional to work with. That led to purchase of the snow blower for here in the city. It assembles with ease, parts fit where they are supposed to, it starts great and basically functions the way you would want a small blower to function. Its the best snow blower I've owned and I've owned a few. December 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ariens 24 in snowblower Excellent so far, very quite; small problem with with rattle coming from belt area, removed cover and adjusted the belt retainers a bit , rattle seems to have gone. Blows snow very very far. High speed blower jets increase blower power well to go thru huge snow banks. Would recommend to friends. ND December 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Snow no match for Fire Orange Just got my new Ariens 24'"snow blower...they got that it sure can throw it....had to keep the chute low as was filling in my neighbours drive way. ..but lets back up...I had a 22" Murray with 5 hp but it was 11 yrs old and was now a tired..ok..retired machine as the snow plow mess was too much to ask it to do....I hate shovelling. Now once I reviewed all and put in the gas and stabilizer and let it run...I was nervous with anticipation as was looking at 25cm here in Stittsville and it was wet snow with temperatures dropping. Well as stated...the snow was no match for this mighty machine. It sounded like it was serious about what it does when it was running. The professional look with steel parts was impressive. It had no issue with whatever I asked it to clear. I put both wheels pins in to have 2 working rear tires as still small enough machine to move around. Well my lane way was cleared and was so happy I did my neighbours for the fun of it. Love the look and performance..and the light is a nice touch. Would recommend to any one this machine as with the build I know I will be using this for over a decade or more too...let it snow let it snow!!! November 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome SnowBlower Bought this machine 1 month ago before the big snow storm hit Edmonton. Assembled in 20 minutes out of the box without any problems. Put gas in it and started it on the first pull, didn't have to use the electric starter. All metal construction, including the chute, easy to turn and handle. Went through the 30 cm of snow we got without effort. Moved the huge drifts of snow in front of the house easily so my wife could park her vehicle in front. Had so much fun, I did the neighbours driveway as well. Because I live on a small lot, I had to watch out because the machine would throw snow so well it was too easy to throw snow on the neighbours driveway as I was cleaning mine off. You won't be disappointed with the quality and power of this machine. February 3, 2011
