Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 214 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Well built, very durable and extremely reliable. This was my first snowblower purchase. After reading countless reviews regarding the features and dependability I deemed necessary in a snowblower, I determined the Ariens 24" Deluxe would be the perfect machine. It started right up and functioned perfectly in the midst of our first 12" snow storm. I quickly learned how to maneuver the snowblower to effectively clear out my driveway and sidewalk. I had such a great time with this, my first snowblower, I ran out of gas twice because I cleared out my neighbors sidewalks and driveways. I told my wife I wanted to "break it in." I am most satisfied with this purchase. January 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is easy to use. This was my first time buying and using a snow blower. As a new homeowner I had gone through last winter with a shovel. My driveway is slopped and can easily fit ten cars on it so shoveling was rough. This year we are going through the snowiest winter in years accumulating record snowfalls. When I bought the blower it was Fall so when the Ariens dealer dropped it off and showed me how to use it there was no snow. Well, I misplaced the DVD so starting and using it was guesswork. The machine has the start features laid out very nicely in pictures so it was easy to start. The most challanging thing about snow blowing, I've learned the hard way, is determining the pattern to blow and the wind direction. I had originally started going across on the slope until I figured out it was much easier going straight up and down but I have to lock both wheels so I get the traction I need. It requires some elbow grease turning it when the wheels are locked. I wished I had bought the auto turn but an Ariens rep told me this wouldn't work on slopped terrain. I did have to tighten a screw as the Shute shift lever would pop out at the lowest setting. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and it's become like a big toy when it snows. February 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Maine! Initially wanted the Compact 24, but decided to go with the Deluxe model for the more powerful motor. Though it cost a little more and is a bit heavy for my wife (mid 50's) to handle easily, the upside is that it chews through deep snow (15" plus) and the big crusty pile at the end of the driveway without missing a beat. It really can throw 40 feet! So far, it's everything I'd hoped for. Starts on the first pull even in sub-zero temps. It was delivered to my house in a box - took about an hour to assemble. A relatively easy job for a handy person. January 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Takes some getting used to but when you do... The Auto-steer function was a little tough and frustrating at first but it's now my favorite feature. I went so far as to call customer support because I thought my machine was defective. When they say, "don't fight it...let it steer for you..." they actually know what they are talking about. I'm not 100% satisfied with the motor because I feel like it's slightly under powered and hard to start at times. I can deal with the power as long as it doesn't get any harder to start...electric start is your friend. Heated handles! Yup, pretty great. Overall, it's a good machine. I'd buy another one if I needed it. And, I would and have recommended it to family and friends. May 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Overall a great investment Overall a good machine. The auto turn feature alone is worth the price of admission. If you need to move a lot of snow in tight quarters, this feature is a God send. On the negative side, one comment. After several uses, I could no longer adjust the chute which changes the elevation and hence the distance that snow is thrown. Thought it was the cable, then possibly the spring. Finally realized that the fixed metal part of the chute and the adjustable part of the chute were binding. Spread the metal by hand and then sprayed the assembly with WD40. Works fine now but the tolerances are too tight. This should not have failed after 3 uses. Otherwise, great equipment. April 20, 2014
