IMPRESSIVE machine! Easy to use, easy to start, easy to maneuver. Even my 125lbs wife was able to snow blow our house without any issues (I was out of town, stop judging haha). The snow blower never got stuck, didn't even choke on heavy wet snow, and effortlessly throws snow if not too wet. The machine is known as the "BEAST" in my house and I highly reccommend it for you and your family.

So far can't complain . Bought this today at HD and was presently surprised this unit now comes with heated hand grips. Staff at HomeDepot Waukesha WI was very very helpful answering my questions
They also guided me in assembly questions I had and tips what to look out for.
After getting this home unpacking and assemble as smooth and easy.
Snow Blower started on the first pull. Can't wait for,1st snow.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by StarRyder Deluxe 30 in. Two-Stage Electric Start Gas Snow Blower with Auto-Turn Steering
I liked everything about this snow blower except the "Auto Turn" feature. My driveway is not totally flat. So if the blower gets slowed down on or gets snagged on one side, it will turn towards that side, fast! Not good if blowing snow next to a vehicle, could crash into it.
I am 61 yrs. old and when the snow blower makes it quick turn, it almost pulls the grips and controls out of my hands. Very rough to control. I think it would work ok if my driveway was new and flat.
I don't know if this feature can be turned off or not,....yet.
Also, the "OFF-ON" key position is opposite of how most keyed machines are; straight up = OFF and Turned to the left = ON. Not so for this machine! It is labeled at the key as to how to it operates.
And there is no switch to turn off the head light, just my pet-peeve.
All in all pretty good snow blower. If I had known about the "Auto Turn", I would have bought one without the "Auto-Turn" feature.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Paul First Time Buying Ariens
Already better than the last machine I purchased. I have not tried it in the snow yet. But I have taken it for a spin in the driveway. I turns way better than the the last one I owned. It sounds better. Looks better. I had the worst experience with the last brand I owned. Everyone kept telling me to get an Ariens, so I did. I dont think that I will have any issue with this machine. If I do you will hear about it on here. But I checked it out and It seems solid, can't wait to try it in the snow. I have peace of mind now.
This one was delivered from the store assembled. ( highly recommend you buy from store, not online) You get better customer service this way. Trust me.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by bub nice machine throughs sno very far.
I like the auto turn idea but I have a gravel driveway and the skid shoes dig in the gravel it pulls the machine left and right. I have to hold a lot down very had to keep the machine going straight.. One other thing is the gas tank is very small. I have to fill it 2 to 3 times depending on the stom.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Great machine except for Auto-Turn
Having used the snowblower for three storms now, 6",12', and 6". I have the following comments. High quality materials and construction. Plenty of power to handle heavy wet snow. My only complaint is the Auto-Turn feature. The machine has a mind of its own as far as direction of travel. Very difficult to control. Every time I have used it, it's turned into a wrestling match. I have adjusted the skids as recommended in the manual and am now at over an inch of clearance with no real improvement. I would like to find a way to disable the Auto-Turn, then it would an excellent machine.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by timmyjohn Had to return but a nice machine for the price
End of the day its Ariens or simplicity if your going to spend the money. For 1300 its a nice machine. I bought mine brought it home and started right up and worked great. Only issue was in N it would walk backwards. But after using it the chute rotation mechanism makes you lean forward and to the left, almost to the point where you have to stop. Once returning I went and looked at simplicity. Simplicity is truly a one hand operation machine. Pro level of a simplicity cant be beat, but the levels below that I think Ariens and Simplicity are pretty equally.
