Rated 1 out of 5 by After 5years the motor siezed up and broke the connecting rod. The B&G is a very poor cheep qualty motor. I still have an all original 1978 Ariens that still works well.No B&S on that one.I don't think I will ever buy another machine if it has a B&S on it.My First Ariens More that 30 years still running great. My second less than 5 years old and a blown motor. Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Snow Blower Had a 1979 Ariens 824 (32 yrs old) I gave to my son in law to do his driveway. I purchased a Ariens Deluxe 24. Wow does it throw snow ! Lots of improvements. Best snow blower ever. I now love it when it snows. I had it for 3 yrs and it is standing up to our tough New England winters. November 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Takes some getting used to but when you do... The Auto-steer function was a little tough and frustrating at first but it's now my favorite feature. I went so far as to call customer support because I thought my machine was defective. When they say, "don't fight it...let it steer for you..." they actually know what they are talking about. I'm not 100% satisfied with the motor because I feel like it's slightly under powered and hard to start at times. I can deal with the power as long as it doesn't get any harder to start...electric start is your friend. Heated handles! Yup, pretty great. Overall, it's a good machine. I'd buy another one if I needed it. And, I would and have recommended it to family and friends. May 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A tornado in snow Great model after week of research to replace my 5yr old John Deere that sadly just didn't handle Wisc snow like I wanted. (And I'm a huge JD supporter!) Instant pull start - has electric but not needed - that pulls and fires right away. Amazing the quality of the build - welded seems and the industry-only cast bearings and case are priceless. Don't fool yourself - without them, your axle will wear prematurely. I love my 24" because it is as large as the 28 & 30 in terms of power and simply is easier to manuver and store. Only product I know that has maintained its quality for 40+ years! September 28, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by it great A few years ago I purchase a similar snow blower from sears, which never ran right. The second year I had it, I could get it started and paid $160.00 for a service call. The only thing they did was add an additive to the gas, which got it going. When I purchase the Ariens deluxe, home depot had it shipped to someone locally who made sure it was setup correctly. After the machine was correctly setup, they called me to arrange a date and time for delivery. When it was delivered, I was shown how to use the machine. The snow blower has an electric start, the pull start is easy to use and start on the 1st pull every time. I would definitely recommend the Ariens. October 18, 2012
