Just purchased last week and I seem to have a vibration and change in engine tone at certain times when mowing. Not sure if it is a belt issue or normal. How would I know if everything is correct and can someone come out and check? Also, I tried registering online for the 5 year warranty and it says "authorize error: a valid amount is required". I tried submitting a support ticket to Ariens and never heard back. Definitely frustrating that I can't get something that simple completed online.
Asked by: DK
The best way to contact our support team is to submit a message as you did. Unfortunately, we are experiencing a large volume of messages, so we will get to yours as soon as possible. Bill, depending on how high you have your deck set, this shouldn't be a problem. Obviously caution should be observed to ensure that you do not have interference. Hope this information helps!

IKON X 52 in. 23 HP Kawasaki Gas Hydrostatic Zero-Turn Riding Mower is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 88.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2 hours so far! Bought my ikon 52 inch cut two weeks ago from Home Depot. It was between the icon and a gravely zero turn mower. The ariens was $200 cheaper. Made by same company or sister company. I checked controls were similar to the gravely. I like the Kawasaki motor is smooth running. The only problem I had was when I bought it from Home Depot, I got it home and drove around a little bit and they didn't tighten up the control arm bolts and I lost one on the bottom. And called Home Depot Promptly and they apologize, and two days later got me the bolt. So far it cuts really good it's fast and it seems to do pretty good job we'll see.

It took approx 11 business for it to be delivered. That's impressive considering none of the stores in my area carry it. The Certified Tech Brought it to my home, fully assembled and ready to go. He Answered all my questions and even stuck around while I took it for a quick test run. This is a great quality mower and I'm impressed thus far, considering it has less that 3 hours in it. Pros: Fabricated deck, Kawasaki Engine, Comfortable Seat, large shoot, sturdy built, Paint seems good thus far, Cost Cons: Small Rear wheels don't disperse weight well and leave ruts, no gas gauge, hydrostatic Trans are sealed. Despite the cons, I haven't found another zero turn of similar value at this cost. The Grass Season is Just starting thus I'll update later in the year. Hope to have a few pictures to add soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I received a problem deck The order process was great. The gentleman that assembled and delivered the mower to my wife was top notch.Upon getting off work,I proceeded to give it a try. Have used Scagg commercial mowers on a working ranch for some time. Two minutes into turning on pto, a terrible noise with vibrations was coming from right side of deck. I turned mower off for inspection. Nothing wrong to the eye. I put my hand on spindle and it was to hot to touch. Touched left side and was cool to the touch Leads me to believe I got a faulty bearing. I scheduled a return from Home Depot. The nice customer service person offered a 10 percent discount to reorder. I will give one more shot at a highly reviewed mower. Will give a updated review after a month on new one. James S. I owned a ariens zoom zero turn for 11 years without any problems until the kohler courage engine cracked the cyclinder wall. Kohler knew about the design flaw when they built them and sold them to how many lawn mower brands without telling them about the problem. Check about the engine google it. So I have no problem with the ariens brand with the kawasaki engine on it don't buy the briggs and stratton they were my first choice until I found out their made in china. p.s. its still winter here so I have not used it but it is step above from the one I had so I don't forsee anything wrong.

I have used it for the first mow of the year and handled great. My first Zero Turn, so i did get aggressive a few times and peeled out on a few turns. The mower leaves a very even cut. You do not see uneven joints from pass that intersect. On a few of the hills my last mower would seem to float to a small angle and one side would be 1/4 to 3/8 higher, creating a step down to the next mowed section. The seat is very comfortable and the ride is smooth. The discharge is very powerful and spreads the cut grass evenly. This does make for a dusty/dirty event for the first mow when the bermuda is still dormant. I have towed both my sprayer and trailer and tows very easy. The dial with cut height is nice, but I do wish the deck had a high lock position to get the deck out of the way.

Mower seems to be well built so far I only have about 5 hours on it at this time so no real test yet. I bought this mower to supplement the large Dixie Chopper we have and to fit into smaller areas. Don't do much mowing in February. One issue is the mower seems to be too heavy for the width of the rear wheels and it leaves tracks on soft ground. The tracks do disappear in a couple of days. I wonder if it could be fit with wider wheels and rims? I have concerns about the non serviceable wheel motors too but time will tell how they hold up. The only other concern is the handles could open a little wider so it would be easier for a 240 lb. 66 year old man to get off and on. The deck height adjustment is great and the mower has a smooth finished cut. With the grass height not too high right now it leaves very few clippings and I can mow at a pretty high wheel speed.

Made decision based on the welded frame, fabricated deck, great engine, armrests, easy to use controls, and a hitch plate. Nothing feels flimsy, solid machine. Hands down the best value for the money. I used to push mow, saves me a couple hours. Mows at 7mph, plenty fast for me. Hard to beat a 5 year warranty too. USA!
