Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great features, other than the autosteering Very powerful, easy to maneuver, and cleans down to the pavement very well. However, the auto power steering can be dangerous if you're trying to maintain a straight line in tight quarters. For instance, if you are plowing your driveway, and try to get close to your vehicles, you run a very high risk of hitting either uneven pavement or ice, and having the unit think you want to turn. So, what does it do, it locks that inside wheel and turns. They should have at least enabled a bypass on the unit at this price, so you could disable the feature when you truly want to go straight only. Almost every other manufacturer allows you to either manually enable, or disable this feature. February 19, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Support I recieved the product and used it once before it had a catastrofic failure. It threw both auger drive belts and locked up because the pulleys were not properly aligned. Since it was less than 30 days old, your company covered the transport fees to and form the place of repair. I used it once after it was returned to me. It seemed to work well. The only issue I have found with the machine is that the cutting with of the feed shute is narrower than the tires, so you mess up the clean path just cleared. Also the skid shoe extends far enough from the housing to cause ths snow to collapse after you make a cut through a level of snow. April 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great piece of snow removal equipment. I purchased this model because of the Ariens reputation and the fact that a neighbor has an Ariens and I was impressed with its performance as an observer. I bought it and then it didn't snow enough to be used for the next two winters, so it just sat in my shed. Well, the snow did come this past winter and it came and it came! So I gave the blower its first of quite a few snow removal tasks and it performed great. Wet snow, dry snow, and packed snow where the snow plow trucks piled it up at the end of my driveway were all handled with ease by this model regardless of snow depth. Many times while operating it, I muttered to myself "money well spent"! March 28, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Product has poor chute control design The second time I used the blower the chute controls froze. I could not lock the chute into position. Dealer came out and made an adjustment and it seemed fine. The next usage the problem reoccurred. The dealer picked it up and said it was working fine. I told him it freezes in cold weather and the only way I could use it was to take off the cowling, covering the spring and cable and force the spring into a lock position. After threatening to return unit for refund dealer replaced entire chute control including spring and cables. After that unit performed perfectly. I purchased this model because of this feature and it turns out to be poorly designed. March 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well designed machine and works as claimed This is a well thought out machine that works as claimed. The larger engine has plenty of HP to throw dense heavy snows a long way even the snow that slides off my metal building roof which is quite heavy and dense and about 2 feet deep. I really like the heated hand grips, and easy turning. No more fighting to turn around or manuvering, and it starts easy by hand or electric start. The only thing that concerns me is the cable for turning the directional chute runs quite close to the exhaust, so I shielded it with a bit of aluminum foil. All in all I am quit pleased with it after using it on a very long cold snowy winter here in northen Minnesota. Randy March 30, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Failed to start on third use We had our first good snowfall in Minnesota this week, and had an opportunity to use our brand new Ariens 24" Platinum snowblower. The first two times of clearing the snow went great, cleared the snow like a charm. The third time going out the snowblower would not start. Went through all of the troubleshooting steps, was using brand new non-oxy fuel, everything on our end was done properly, but the machine would not start by either pull string or electric start. Unfortunately, we had to return the snowblower today. Very disappointed that this happened as Ariens is typically a good brand and our previous Ariens snowblower never gave us any trouble. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Terrific Snow Blower It's been a tough winter season here in Southern New England with tons of snowfall. That said, I purchased my Ariens after copious amounts of research. With all the snow we've had this unit worked and continues to preform flawlessly! One pull start EVERY TIME, runs smoothly, shoots snow about 75 feet in the air and 100 feet out and maneuvers easily. The controls are simple and the unit is very easy to operate. The hand warmers actually do come in quite handy! Things will loosen though, so you must make sure cables and screws are tight before and after use but that just normal stuff. Great product couldn't be happier! March 29, 2014
