Auto Steer

I read some troubling information regarding the inconsistent activation of the auto steer; particularly on uneven services or when using the snowblower on an incline. I also read that the metal skid shoes compound the issues. My driveway apron slants and I was wondering if I should buy a snowblower without the auto turn feature. Any one have issues steering with this model on uneven or slanted services? Thank you.
Asked by: BrianH
These issues are not common in the Professional series units. The Pro units are balanced in a manner so that the front end does not create as much drag. In your situation, you should see no issues with the auto-turn differential.

Is this a good snow blower for steep driveways?

Asked by: Rodney
Rodney, this is a great machine for up to 18 degrees of slope. For higher grades I would recommend looking into a tracked unit.

why cant these snow blower more available so we dont have to wait weeks to get one long after the snow is gone or even get hit with another storm and

why cant these snow blowers be more available with out the wait because 2 or 3 weeks is unacceptable. Because of the lack of availability we are forced to buy something else that's junk just to move the snow and having knee surgery i cannot shovel snow until my knee heals. Thanks Dave
Asked by: dave
Dave, I understand that our stock can deplete during snow storms and the machines can be hard to come by. Home Depot will be able to give you a better answer with this question as they order our machines and stock them in their warehouses.

Professional Series 32 in. Two-Stage Electric Start Gas Snow Blower (926039) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 62.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than any other brand on the market I have owned several Ariens blowers since 1973. Whenever they made a larger model I upgraded. Since we average 100" of snow/season I wanted to move snow fast. Now, are these units free of problems? Of course not! There are repairs that have to be addressed now and then. BUT, there is no other brand on the market that comes close to these.( I have checked most others at one time or another.) If you want to move large amounts of any type of snow (dry, wet, with sleet, rain) Ariens is the way to go. My advice is to buy the largest (engine 342cc) model you can afford since a big machine moves smaller amounts of snow much FASTER! The Pro Series is great..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome machine I purchased this Ariens from the recommendation of a Ariens owner. I couldn't be any happier. My first time using it I've found it such a joy to use. By far the best machine I've ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pro 32 Model I bought this model in October 2012. I have used it five times this past winter. The electric starter is a wonder feature, and starts without any problems. Engine is more than adequate for my needs and runs smoothly and quitely for the size of the engine. I have not had any major deep snow to really test this units capability. The most snowfall I had to clear this season was about 7 inches. I have a long (>300 foot) gravel drive way. The adjustable shoes are perfect for adjusting the impeller chute height for any condition driveway (approximately 3 inch range of adjustment). Two issues I have with this model. 1) it is a large, heavy machine and difficult to turn easily 2) The discharge chute handle used to turn the discharge chute deflector is a weak point in the design of this snow thrower. The handle is somewhat difficult to manuver as you must first lift the handle upward to be able to turn the handle left or right. At times I the handle come off when I lifted it upward. Very annoying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beast After a second winter of substantial snow this machine has proven its worth. Like the snow the initial purchase price has faded. This machine will outlast the operator. Easy to start and easy to operate, for a big machine it is easy to handle. It makes short work out of big snow. Prior to purchasing my machine I checked a lot of reviews and checked some local small engine repair shops for feedback. I am very satisfied with this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Ariems Model 926039 is a Top Performing high quality machine! The 32 in model 92039 was by far the best snow blower I have owned yet. When searching for a new one I noticed all the intricate parts were of high quality. Every control unit worked exceptionally well in the sub zero, icy weather here on Cape Cod. Top performance in clearing the heavy wet snow as well as at the end of the driveway where the plow leaves you a tough challenge. Easy to steer left or right with ease. All the other models, other then Ariens, improvised with cheap controls which I figured would break under icy cold conditions. Bottom line, buy with confidence, this is the one you what for tough jobs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST SNOWBLOWER BY FAR I've had a few blowers over the years and recently bought my first Ariens. Wow this thing is awesome. I've never had a blower cut through the snow like this and never seems to slow down even in deep snow. The only problem is watching I don't take out a window as I have a gravel driveway and this thing will throw snow 40 feet for a joke. A bargain at about $1500 less than a Honda and more features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent snow blower I purchased the Pro-32 model this past December after realizing my old MTD machine was not up to the task of clearing the 450 ft driveway at my new home. We had several knee deep dumpings of snow this past winter, and the Pro-32 machine went through this snow like it wasn't even there! It was always a wrestling match with the old MTD machine, but not with this Pro-32. I was able to control this machine easily with one hand while cutting through a foot of snow. It was awesome! And the easy turning mechanism made it sooooo much easier to turn around st the ends of the driveway. Very solid machine and well designed. Some reviews complained about problems with the directional control of the output shute, but I had no issues at all with it. Great snow blower, and I'm glad I bought it given the winter we just had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great snow blower with lots of power and easy to manuver. I have a around 500 feet of driveway and get a lot of snow living in the northeast. I have been able to clear my driveway in around an hour or less. Love how easy it is to maneuver, how the snow shoot locks in place along with the many throw angles. This machine has enough power to use higher gears to clear snow and makes easy work of the plowed packed snow at the end of the driveway. I'll can almost say that this snow blower makes it fun instead of work to clear snow off my driveway. I have one issue though with the Ariens cab I purchased with the machine in that fine snow spray comes up under the cab and covers the controls and my hands.
