Ordered online, got here in 7 days, went to store to pick up, got it home, took out of box, put the handle upright and put gas in it and pulled the cord and it started on first pull. Made the height adjustment and mowed. Price was cheaper at Home Depot than local power equipment dealer. My last mower was an Ariens that I have had for 24 years, so I was sold on quality of the product name. I hope this one lasts that long.

I'm female, and I love this mower. It came assembled. All I had to do was pull the starter cord one time,. It ran like a charm. The self propelled system was better than any other mower I have ever used, it could actually pull me along if I let it. I adjusted the cutting height and couldn't believe how easy it was. And the real test was mowing over tons and tons of leaves from the 30 trees in the yard with branch bits mixed in. The Razor flew through them easily and did a great job mulching.
I am super happy with the Razor.
I'll update my review after a couple months, once grass begins to grow.

Tired of cheap $200 mowers that don't make it 5 years due to thin decks and wheel assemblies that don't last. Decided to spend more and get a more substantial mower. This thing is solid...Deeper deck, very solid wheel assemblies, cleanout port, height adjusters that won't break (it's actually has one lever that lowers all 4 wheels at once). I like the engine, although I am not familiar with it. It is Ariens branded instead of Briggs. I believe it is the same engine used by Toro and Cub Cadet. The engine actually seems to be a little more substantial than previous Briggs, even though I had great luck with the Briggs. It doesn't bog down and has exceptional vacuum. The only negative might be that it weighs a little more than the typical mower. But, it is also much more solid. You get what you pay for and this thing is rock solid. I expect 15 years out of this one. I would compare it side to side with a Honda or Toro (although this is not self propelled since my lawn is smaller, it would not be an apples to apples comparison). Very happy with purchase.

So happy with Ariens! Make a lawn mower that is easy to use and has great features. I like the way it picks up everything while mowing. Easy to empty too! Also like the height adjustment lever which does all four wheels with one lever. Mine is not self propelled, but is easy to push and easy to start.

This is my second Ariens mower. The first one lasted 25 years and I just handed it down to my son. Excellent product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mower2468 what I was looking for
I wanted a good mulching mower with easy to adjust wheels. This mower is perfect for both. It is a little heavier than our last mower and the hand grip is wider so it is a little harder for me to hold it in the whole time (my husband doesn't have this problem), but it does exactly what I wanted it to do, so I'm really happy with it.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nate Solid with peculiarities.
Positives: 1) amazing construction. It's solid. 2) extremely powerful motor. 3) agile despite its size.
Negatives: 1) the set speed tends to fluctuate slightly during use as the adjustment rod moves in or out. 2) the front wheel locking mechanism engages unintentionally. 3) the gas reservoir is shaped in such a way that when being filled it's empty, empty, empty, then abruptly full and spilling fuel all over. 4) adjusting the deck height is a major pain.
So all my negatives are design-related issues. They should be able to do better for such an expensive mower. I still enjoy mowing and, in the end, placed more importance on dependability, durability, and power than on design.
