I have a 93604600/a175BG42 42" tractor. I have a steep driveway and want to use a plow, chains, and weights with this tractor work?

I would purchase the 73602700 and 73602900 blade and weights. I live in NY around the Finger lakes
Asked by: Chuck
We don't actually recommend the use of chains on this model, but the plow 73602700 and weight kit 73602900 are correct and are good to be used on this model. If you require more traction, please see your local authorized servicing dealer for further assistance.

Customer Reviews

Zoom XL 54 in. Snow Blade is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing performance The fact that this accessory was available is why I purchased the Zoom XL over the Zoom or Max Zoom. It took a fair bit of time to assemble and required a fair number of tools as well as a special size metal drill bit to drill holes in the lift areas. I highly recommend reading the manual available here before you purchase this to make sure you are comfortable installing this yourself or have other means to get it professionally installed if not. This kit is fairly comprehensible and well designed and of great quality (like the mower). Not only do you get the blade but you get winter tires as well as counter weights for the back which include a trailer hitch (so you don't need to purchase the other one available if you are buying this). I use this on a very long U shaped driveway of 600 feet or so. I can plow this most times in under 30 min with this contraption. We also have a tractor with a snow blower available but this is much better at scraping near the ground and it is faster. As it much more often darker in the winter and you will find you will most likely want to use it when it is dark outside I recommend getting the lighting kit for the mower. I got the Ariens lighting kit which is fine for mowing in the summer but needed to modify it for the snow blade. The position of the lights in the lighting kit is right at the front of the main frame of the deck. This would be blocked by the snow blade and make them useless with the snow blade installed. I ended up using the wiring harness from the lighting kit, getting rid of the 2 50W halogen lights that came with it, buying 2 new high performance 27W LED lights designed for ATVs, adding longer wires and mounting the 2 LED lights at the top of the snow blade where there were 2 holes. Plenty of light to work at night with the snow blade. The other thing to be concerned about is that the engine tuning and recommended oil is really made for the summer. I do not store my Zoom XL in a heated area, so I have great trouble starting it when it is very cold. In the winter I sometimes have to jump start it from a car with jumper cables as the battery is very small. I will likely get one of those engine block heat pads as well as possibly switch to synthetic oil, then so long as the oil and engine is warm it will probably work fine. If you store it in a heated garage or someplace like that you will probably have no issues. The tires work quite well and I rarely get stuck. If it gets very icy on the ground or there is any major incline where you plan to use it you may have some problems. I haven't used chains on the tires but that is an option too if your conditions are more severe. As long as you are aware of all of these things I cannot recommend this snow blade enough. It is so versatile and a huge amount of fun.
