Product Overview

The Phoenix interior spiral staircase model is available in 3 diameters 3 ft. 11 1/4 in., 4 ft. 7 1/8 in., and 5 ft. 3 in. It is available in 3 colors - black, white, and grey - powder coated - ready to install - clockwise as well as counter-clockwise. The standard Phoenix staircase kit is adjustable in height from a range of 8 ft. 3 in. to 10 ft. 1/2 in. With additional components, this kit can be extended to a maximum height of 12 ft. 4 in. or to a minimum of 6 ft.10 5/8 in. The standard spiral staircase kit has a 360º rotation and by adding or subtracting risers the rotation will change by approx. 30º per riser. Additional riser kits can be purchased separately. The Phoenix stair treads are manufactured from European beech wood, finished with a light natural stain and clear coat protective sealer. To allow for proper installation and full clearance, the finished (round, square or mezzanine) opening for the installation of the spiral staircase must be at least 2 in. greater than the diameter of the staircase kit. To complete your project a balcony rail kit is available. Riser bars are available in a set of 12 to close off the back of the treads. Each Phoenix staircase kit is shipped complete with detailed assembly instructions and a DVD to assist in your installation.

Customer Questions & Answers

I went onto ARKE web sight and it did help me design the right kit, but how do I go about ordering to make sure I get the correct components

Also when designing it ask the floor thickness, I am assuming that means floor and not floor landing????
Asked by: Deanne
We are glad you were able to access the "Stair Builder" program on the ARKE website. This is an excellent tool to provide the customer the opportunity to enter the height of the installation in inches and the total space available so they can determine the best diameter staircase kit and the necessary components to be able to complete an installation for their specific project. You first enter the type of opening (round, square, or mezzanine) for the project. You then enter the total height in inches when measured from the finished floor to the finished floor. You then click the type of floor it will be installed in either wood or concrete. You don't need to enter in dimensions for the thickness of the floor as the best installation is to have the landing mounted flush even with the top floor level. Then you click on the Project tab and enter the width and length of the available space for the installation. On this tab you can also choose to have a clockwise or counterclockwise rotational turn of the spiral staircase. Then you click on the Details tab. On the Details tab you will choose the color of the steel...Hi-Gloss White, Hi-Gloss Black, or Satin Grey. You can then click on "Print Drawing". The printed document will show the actual position of each stair tread starting at #1 on the bottom level to the highest number being the flush mounted landing at the top. The printed document will also give you the item number, description, and the quantity of each item to order for the specific installation measurements you have entered for your project. You can use this information to place your order at the retailer of your choice. Please feel free to email our Customer Sales & Support team at if additional assistance is needed.

what is the difference in the 63,55 and 47

Asked by: boatbuilder01
The measurements you are asking are the 3 diameters of the spiral staircase kits. The smallest diameter is 47" (3' 11"), the middle size diameter is 55" (4' 7") and the largest size is 63" (5' 3"). If you must pass the current IRC building code, you will need to install the 63" diameter model as this unit will pass all the current IRC building codes as related specifically to spiral staircases.
