Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TimC Snow Chains for my snowblower
These chains were relatively easy to install and provided more than enough traction for my tractor. I wish I had bought and installed them earlier in the snowfall season, but I was able to make use of them after the last snowfall.
I'll be all ready to go next winter!

The chains are nice but I had to go to the hardware store to buy springs to pull them taut otherwise the chains didn't stay aligned on the tires. They should come with springs.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bigchief material is not stainless steel as described
I bought the chains believing they were stainless steel as it says in the description. They are zinc plated and will rust. Stainless steel in much more durable and longer lasting than these carbon steel chains.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by pakratt840 Waste Of Money So Far
I purchased these chains for my Craftsman lawn tractor. These were the ones which are supposed to fit my model #. When I tried to attach them the way the instructions indicated, everything was backwards from the the illustrations. And after lining everything up the chains would not fasten tightly as the directions indicated. One side would fasten but the other side would not reach to fasten tightly. After an hour trying to do one tire, I gave up. I'll try again, but I'll try to do it the way that makes sense to me, which the directions don't. So far these chains have been a waste of money. Hopefully it doesn't snow again and I won't need them this year.

Remember the old days before snow tires and radial tires on cars?
It snowed almost 48 inches in 2009-2010 snow season, so wanted to be prepared for 2010-2011 snow season. Also bought and installed a snow blade for my John Deere lawn tractor...has not snowed since...oh well.
Impressed with the quality of the product and ease of install, once you figure out the method of install.
Required three trys to get both chains on. Make sure you lay each chain on the ground with the clasp on the outside of each tire. Tried to do both tires at same time, but was not successful at laying chains on ground for both tires to roll onto - square & straight. Recommend do each tire separately.
