Hello. To install the tire chains on your tractor, you will need to place the riding lawn mower on a flat, level surface and disconnect the red battery cable and the spark plug ignition wire. Lay the Cub Cadet tire chain flat on the ground. The open sides of the cross chain hooks should be facing up. Make sure the C-hook is on the inside edge of the tire, and that there are no twists in the chain. Hold the middle of the side chains and lay the tire chain over the tire. The open ends of the cross chain hooks should be facing away from the tire. Tuck the loose ends of the chain under the tire. Push the riding lawn mower forward slightly and work with the hooks at the ends of the tire chain, connecting the C-hook to the second or third link of the side chain on the inside of the tire. Pull the chain tight and connect the locking link to the second or third link of the side chain on the outside of the tire. To lock it in place, fold the locking link back and under the side chain. When both sides are connected, tighten them until the riding lawn mower's tire chain is snug. Make sure the chains remain even on the tire. If you want a tighter fit, slightly deflate the riding lawn mower tire before tightening chains. Re-inflate the tire to the proper manufacturer's suggested pressure. Finally, use cable ties to secure any of the unused links on your riding mower tire chains. Thank you for your question. Read Less

Will these fit a John Deere LA105?

There are other chains on HD site that say they are compatible with the LA105, but they are 20 x 10 x 8. The LA105 tires are 20 X 8 X 8. I'd rather not have to take up extra slack on 'compatible' ones, and get ones that fit properly. All I want is someone on the HD or JD side to say "yes, these will fit". Thanks.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by snow chains the hook for tighting together are cheep need heaver lacthing too December 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by They do what they're supposed to! Bought these when I bought the snow blade for my lawn tractor. I figured I would also need wheel weights but decided to wait on that purchase until I saw how well the chains performed. So far, they've done a great job and I haven't had to buy the wheel weights. I have a very long drive that is on a steady decline from the road to the house. I have had no slippage with these chains. Great value and they do what they're supposed to. I was able to install them easily by myself. Why pay more for the big brands? January 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tractor Tire Chains These chains are great. They are easy to use and attach to the tires. They are very well made and an exceptional value. These are highly recommended. December 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fit well These chains fit nicely on my 20" John Deere L111,easy to put on .Haven't used them yet other than a test fit. They sure look like they will add traction . good product October 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by delivered quickly went on my lawn tractor very easily I was impressed with the quick delivery (3 days). when I got time to put them on they went on as easy as any chains that i have put on before. the only thing was that the chains did not seem as as thick as the one a have on my old ariens model lawn tractor but they seem plenty strong. I would buy these again. January 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product for the pice These chains are a great value for what I paid. They have 2 link spacing for great traction, and dig in really well if the tires begin to slip. I had no trouble installing these chains, you just have to make sure you lay them down the correct way before putting them over the tire. February 14, 2012
