How to put staples in

Asked by: Troy
Hello, Troy. The ET50RED is a bottom load staple gun, which means the magazine must be pulled out and the staples loaded into the bottom of the tool for it to close and dispense staples properly. If you have any more questions, contact us at customercare@arrowfastener.com or call 800-776-2228.

Asked by: rascalray
Hello: We are so sorry for the confusion! The T50 electric staple gun does not use 1-inch staples; that is a mistake. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention! This staple gun shoots up to a 9/16” staple. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Care Department! You can email customercare@arrowfastener.com or call 800-776-2228. We hope you love your new electric staple gun! Thank you! Liz & the Arrow team

It does not staple through wood well. It does not penetrate vinyl siding at all. The only thing it has penetrate consistently is drywall and the insulation I was trying to avoid. I guess this is a gun made especially for tacking very narrow wire runs to drywall and soft, porous wood. Or maybe it is only for crafts involving cork, styrofoam, and other soft materials. I am sorry I wasted money on this, and will not be duped by what I thought was a name that signified high quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from sorry to say but PURE JUNK BY APPEARANCES THE UNIT WAS APPEALING, BUT SOON AFTER WE LOADED OUR FIRST RUN OF STAPLES I REALIZED THAT I HAD MADE A MISTAKE IN PURCHASING A "LESS EXPENSIVE" GUN. FIRST THE SLIDE WOULDNT CLOSE, THEN JAM AFTER JAM AFTER JAM AFTER JAM. NEEDLESS TO SAY MY PATIENCE RAN OUT AND BACK TO THE STORE I WENT TO EXCHANGE FOR A DE******T. SORRY ARROW, ALL IN ALL YOUR PRODUCTS ARE GREAT, IM NOT TRYING TO BLAST YOU OR YOUR OTHER PRODUCTS, BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of the bunch... I just finished stapling poly-encapsulated insulation to fifty-year-old Douglas Fir studs (Which were dove-tailed into the top and bottom plate... can you imagine?) throughout an older home I'm remodeling - and I used another make stapler for ninety-percent of the job, with a hammer handy to complete driving-in the 1/4" staples. The hammer saw plenty of use, and I just figured it was par for the course. When the switch or solenoid or whatever failed on that stapler I resolved to buy another brand, and selected this Arrow. To my surprise, it was more than happy to drive those short staples into those old studs! Now whether it would drive 1/2" or 9/16" staples into really hard wood is anybody's guess (I haven't tried), but I sure wish I'd begun my task with this little red Arrow - rather than just finishing with it! It costs a little more than the others, but for all the frustration and hammer-time you'll save... it's well worth it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly made I received this as a gift a couple years ago. I used it a couple times and seemed to work just fine. This week I pulled it out to attach insulation to 15 by 24 inch doors for my kennel business. I got through about two strips of staples when it just stopped firing. I was using Arrow staples so no problems with another company product. When pressing down the light would light, you could hear a click but nothing else. I contacted customer service. They informed me that I needed to show proof of purchase to prove I was the original owner. I said I received it as a gift. That was it, no repair. So I went ahead and got the T30 tool bit with the raised center and took the unit apart to see if I could fix it. Once I opened it, about 10 pieces of broken plastic fell out. Appears there is a 1/4 inch plastic disk in the little compressor part that shattered. Why the heck you would use a plastic disk at the spot where a large amount of force is applied to drive a staple, I wouldn't know. I don't know about the other Arrow staplers, but this one is poorly designed. And the Warranty is just not that great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst I used the correct staples. I loaded them without problem. The gun fired no staple. reloaded. fired. no staple. I read everything, double checked the staples. reloaded. fired. no staple. over and over. I was as if there was nothing pushing the staples. A waste of time and money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst design ever Bought this piece of junk because my old standby stapler was cramping my arthritic hands. Thought I'd save time and my hands. But I was wrong. Let me list the awful design features... 1. LED light only turns on once the staple has been fired. Not sure why this component was needed. After the fact visualization that the stapler didn't work? 2. LED light mounted above staple gun, so you need about 3" clearance to what your firing into. Don't bother trying to reach a corner here. 3. Staples won't penetrate 2x lumber consistently, even at highest power. Be prepared to follow around with a hammer wherever you use this stapler. Massive FAIL on all design criteria for this thing. Not worth the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of junk I bought this stapler after my 10 year old one quit. I had an inspector coming the next morning and was under the GUN to get the vapor barrier completed. What a disappointment. The thing didn't last long enough to drive what was left of a box of staples. The slide mechanism that holds the staples in came flying out the back and left me looking for the spring, roller, and all the hardware that feeds the staples. Looks like the spot weld on the end gave up. Needless to say, it is going back. Not to mention, the LED is Joke and the safety at the nose is annoying. I hated this thing from the minute I tried to drive the first staple, or tried to. I don't feel bad about taking this back when it showed it rue colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well in most cases I needed a staple gun that was less stressful on my hands to operate. The manual ones are hard for me to use for long periods of time. The electric one was a better option than a battery powered model for a couple of reasons. The cost was much less for the electric one and there are more sizes of staples available as well. The only complaint I have about it is the bulky size of the gun makes it hard to get into tight spaces. So I kept the manual stapler handy for those circumstances. A bonus feature of this staple gun is that it uses the standard sizes of staples that work in my other hand staplers.
