I bought this product back in 1987. It was stolen early this year (2016), but it worked perfectly throughout all this time. I bought it again this year and it broke down after 2 jobs. Apparently, Arrow changed their design or manufacturers. I will never recommend this tool to anyone anymore.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Michael Crushes cable - that's all you need to know
This is my third staple gun specifically for stapling low voltage cables to wood surfaces. They all have their shortcomings, and this one is no different. I expected the problems I experienced with this staple gun, but figured it would be worth a try in case I was wrong. I wasn't wrong. The design of the gun allows staples to be driven in too far, allowing the staples to apply pressure to the cables - the cables can't slide freely through the staple. This can easily cause problems with data transmissions and should be avoided.
I don't know how this product remains on the market, or who keeps buying it, when its design virtually guarantees violation of standard installation practices. It's already packed up and ready to be returned.
That said, I don't think it's any worse than other products designed/sold for the same purpose, but it's certainly no better.

For everyone who says this gun jams.. shoot a little WD40 or Triflow in before you load the staples. I've had the same gun for 11 yrs and use it everyday ( low volt installs). To the guy who says the staples are to tight and can't pull wire thru them......hello this gun is meant to staple the wires in place!!! If you don't know that maybe you should not be doing installations.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by POSguy Quality Issue with the new gun
I had used these guns for years in my low voltage installs. Older models that had no cushioning material on the handle worked great for years on end.
This new model jams, and from reading others reviews I am not alone with the same problem.
This is a quality issue I am sure, or someone "improved" this model.
On another hand not to bash the unions much but with many manufacturers that are unionized quality somehow declines over time magically. Just saying. Maybe some new quality control procedures are in order at the Arrow company.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sharpie If it didn't break so much it would be the perfect staple gun
I'm an alarm technician and I use this gun about two or three times a week. In the last few months I've had to go through about three of them. They keep jamming up and having all sorts of issues. I'm using arrow staples and I'm careful when installing new staples not to jam a new line over an old line. Even with all the tender loving care I can give this wire tacker they still break down. I would recommend to Arrow to re-engineer this gun or your going to lose a lot of business.

I had 2 T50's and 2 T25's that someone helped themselves to. I was pleased to see that the replacements I purchased are of the same top quality as in the past. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mudcat Great product, did exactly what I bought it for.
I bought this stapler to put down heat wire for under my tile floor. it worked perfectly without damaging the wire. I used a whole box of staples without the tool jamming once.
