I was disappointed that the stainless steel staple was not available in the 1/4" size.

The non-stainless variety staples bent all over the place. These were considerably stronger and in my opinion worth the extra $. HD does not carry many of these but their closest competitor carries none. What's up with that?

The staples loaded fine and working in my T50 & electric staple gun. They get wet a lot and never show rust.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RednexToyz My "go-to" staples
These are my "go-to" staples when doing my upholstery or carpeting work for indoor/outdoor applications. I drive these with a power stapler through carpeting & vinyl material into wooden bases with good success. One in a few I have to tap in place a bit deeper with a hammer but I don;t think that is the fault of the staple ... just tough wood. These hold up well with no signs of failure or rust going on a couple years now. Though the carpet is glued to my panels, I wrap the carpet or vinyl to the backside & staple in place to make it secure.

Needed the staples to secure outdoor carpeting to the wooden deck of a swimming pool. The staples worked as expected. This is a good product and should be used on any outdoor stapeling project.

I use these staples, outdoors. I use them to staple 6mil plastic sheeting around the bottom of my 12' x 20' deck, to enclose and protect the underneath from the winter snow. When spring arrived, I removed the staples. Not one of them had rusted.
