Customer Questions & Answers

Can this electric stapler be used with one hand?

I want to know if this stapler can be used with one hand, or does it require the user to hold the device in place with one hand and pull the trigger with the other? Thanks.
Asked by: Kevin
You can use one hand. I did and had no trouble. Just be sure the stapler is even with whatever you're stapling into.

Would this work to put down carpet on stairs?

Asked by: Kay
Hello, Kay. Yes, the R.E.D. Compact Electric Staple Gun should work to put down carpet on stairs. Remember that since you're working with a softer material, you may need to put more pressure on the tool to ensure the contact safety is pressed. To pick the best staple size, choose one that equals the thickness of the carpet base (not including the pile), plus 3/8-inch. Typically that means the 1/2-inch staple is the most appropriate. If you have any further questions, you can reach us via email at customercare@arrowfastener.com. Good luck!

This didn't even have the power to staple more than half of a T-50 staple into a one by board. I bought this to help with insulating my garage and crawl space. After 5 minutes it was apparent that this was designed for crafts and extreme light work. I took it and the staples back and went with my crown staple gun instead. If you want something with power for big projects, pass on this one.

Unit appears to be built well, but doesn't set 1/2 inch staples effectively. Had to set approximately 75 to 80 percent of the staples with a small hammer. The unit is very quiet while operating, but the failure to set staples makes it a failed unit for my purposes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from issue first day i used it Started using this today to hang some plastic sheeting in my garage, about halfway through my project, stapler stops working, all it does when I push the trigger is make a whirring sound for a few seconds and then nothing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It is a joke Still need a hammer, don't shoot with enough power. Their staples are weak and break the string into a few and they just fall out of the stapler by shaking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from breaks quickly and often I'm on my third one now and still working on the same small 720 Sq ft house. They seem sturdy but don't last at all

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I plan to put this stapler to the test over the next few years. This is my third electric staple gun. The first was an Arrow ET-50; I think I got it in the late 1970's or early 1980's.. It still works but occasionally jams and is cumbersome to clear the jam. The second was another name brand around the year 2000. It failed after a few years. Compared to the ET-50, this gun does not seem to drive the staple as deep. The new gun does not have as much of a jolt to the hand as the old gun. It is easier to load the staples in the new gun which should also make it easier to clear a jamb. Time will tell how good this electric staple gun is as good as my old Arrow which was made in American. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Performs as expected. Last year, I purchased a manual Arrow T50 Elite stapler/nailer, which appears to have been discontinued because it is not pictured on this site. After using it for only a few weeks, it quit stapling. I opened it up to check the mechanism and it appears that the plunger is no longer catching, thus unable to function as needed to drive the staples. Since I failed to keep the receipt, I'm not able to return it, thus, I'm stuck with a paperweight. This week, I decided to go with an electric stapler due to the need to use it for multiple projects. I am pleased with the performance of this model and trust that it will continue to function as needed. This time I'm saving the receipt.
