Customer Reviews

T50 Red Hammer Tacker is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works, needs instructions on loading staples The previous reviewers were loading the staples the wrong way, as I did when I first tried to use it. You pull the spring loaded thing out from the back and drop the staples in the underside of the hammer NOT on the track that you pulled out. I didn't see any instructions included with the product. Guess they think it's so common sense that they are not needed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from production stopper This tool failed me the first job I took it on. It didn't make it through the first roll of #15 felt paper on a roof. I tightened an extremely loose tension bar made another modification to unjam the jam resistant mechanism. Thinking I had acquired a should have been factory reject, I exchanged for another of the exact model and was quite embarrassed when it failed on the first load of staples loaded into it. Back to Bostitch.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't purchase I made the mistake of buying this tool while in the store. I usually read reviews before making any tool purchases. The handle felt the best in my hand. I've had a Arrow hand stapler since the 70's without fail, but this is a waste of money. Not the cheapest one there either. I got it home and couldn't even load the staples. They fit fine on the slide holder, but they wouldn't go into the stapler. I returned it and while in the store I tried loading another one same thing. I ended up purchasing a cheaper one model HT50. Takes the same staples and I had no problem loading this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy! I bought and worked for half a day. Loved everything about it, except that it jammed every other hit. Somehow the staples break inside while you're using it, and then it tries to shoot out more than one at a time, thus jamming. Fix that aspect and you got a good product. I now know why it's discontinued!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOTHING BUT MISFIRES AS THE STAPLE LOAD BREAKS UP IN TOOL MAGAZINE AND CONSTANTLY SENDS OUT EXTRA STAPLES PER HIT CANNOT GET THIS BOTTOM LOADER TO NOT SEND EXTRA STAPLES OUT ABOUT EVERY 5TH HIT-- PUT IT BACK IN PACKAGE THE NEXT DAY TO DO WHAT WITH -- HOPEFULLY SOMEONE WILL REIMBURSE ME FOR THIS NON- WORKING TACKER-- wanted this to be new go to tacker with ease of loading BUT it does not function properly-- seems that the staple clip is not secure enough for the hammer action ---

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality materials & design Used this to staple Aquabar underlayment for wood flooring to plywood subfloor. It did about 300 sq. ft., then metal tabs in the head broke. A hammer tacker that costs nearly $40 should last longer than a month/300 sq. ft.!! Just looked at a different brand--it doesn't have the tabs and looks to be better built, so we're replacing this Arrow with that brand!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looked Good, Felt Good, Broken I thought I had purchased a product that would be the best stapler I've owned. The tension spring mechanism broke on my first roofing job and I had to borrow my co workers stapler to finish the job. After spending time online trying to figure a repair I'm going throw it out and go back to a rapid.
